Thats because Omniverse Ben (Prime Ben) is the strongest Ben. Ben 10k is stronger than Ben 10,000 but they're both weaker than Prime Ben because of him having the complete Omnitrix with the modification that allows the failsafes to work beyond time and space.

Because at the moment Ben meets his future self, that is his future if he had never met them, with it of course changing afterwards. So this version of Ben is strong and smart enough to defeat Maltruant, but will get older, gain more experience and knowledge, and become weaker and dumber than Maltruant?

@@Juli_is_Online Honestly, the thing that bugs me most about that episode is how goofy it is, and how if taken seriously it raises several questions about the Ben 10 world. The Anur System is something Ben and co. had to dedicate a specific set of days to travel to, or at least one whole day. The Null Void is supposed to be something that's difficult to get in and out of, being a pocket-dimension prison and all. And yet, some random alien TV host has the power to transport to such locations across the galaxy instantly? And at that, he can just pluck people from all across the universe with complete accuracy, even when it's something as broad as "every significant female Ben has ever interacted with"? Why does only this alien have this technology?

No way, it was the end of the show. We have already seen what kind of relationship Ben has with his grandfather. If the contemalia was him it would have been a very disappointment. They thought it from the point of view of the audience. People don't understand how creative the makers were at that point. First I saw the scene I loved it. And I still do.

I took it as her more or less learning her lesson and recognizing that Ben is going on a dark road that she needs him to stop.

I remember the time Julie wanted Ben to watch her game instead of saving the day. Getting some Chi-Chi from Dragon Ball vibes over here

It’s one thing to split yourself into three duplicates to solve your wants and needs. But it is entirely another thing for you to watch a movie while your jerk clone goes to your girlfriend’s game. Yeah, if he was swapped around with the nice Ben who went to “fight” the Forever Knights with Kevin, both situations would have gone a LOT smoother.

Also, the ending really annoyed me. Not just because Ben made Julie mad by saying that he went off to see a movie during her match, but also how easily he could have avoided it. If he just said yes instead of no when she asked if he wanted to see it, then there would been a much more satisfying ending.

Yes. Everything good that happened in that universe that we saw as the audience, was all in some way thanks to Ben. Even Prof. Paradox would be worried about the time monster if Ben didn't help him. And Azmuth, biggest brain regained faith in life when he met Ben 😅

I think Charmcaster was supposed to be 14/15 in OG and 19/20 at the start of UAF which is why she looks around the same age. Because you grow so much between 10 and 14/15 but not quite as much from 15-19 in physical appearance, it’s more mental growth.

I think when it came to Attea they just wanted to repurpose her character and make her around Ben's age to make it make more sense. They just wrote around it by saying Incursions mature faster than humans (I don't know if this applies to real-life frogs though). Omniverse repurposed a few characters (e.g. Magister Patelliday, Mr. Baumann), and being honest, I'm kind of fine with it since I legitimately didn't even know these characters showed up pre-Omniverse because they got barely any screen time and/or were otherwise just forgettable. As for the alien ages thing, I think at best they just design the aliens to look around a general age range rather than anything specific. No one really remarks that 10-year-old Ben's aliens are children, nor do they make mention of 15/16-year-old Ben's aliens being teenagers, at least not much. There are differences between them, but they aren't as stark as say, a kid versus a teen versus an adult in real life. I think they just design the aliens to look appealing, and use them as a benchmark to make other members of a given aliens' species. So I just chalk up things like Tini hitting on Four Arms to be different aliens maturing at different rates for an in-universe explanation. As for the Charmcaster thing, I never really thought about it, but it should be noted that she probably is emotionally stunted due to her upbringing and conflicts with the Tennyson family. I could totally see her just being irrational for her age, especially when she got a bit crazier in Omniverse. Heck, her relationship with Gwen paints her as a vindictive, somewhat petty person, which makes sense when we put her character in this context. When Gwen stole her spell book she made no effort to get it back, instead taunting Gwen about being incompetent with magic. And when she stole Gwen's powers she went back because she was Gwen had a little power left (which was a lie), despite her not even needing Gwen's power in the first place.

Thinking about the Charmcaster kissing Kevin thing, it just reminded me that Michael Morningstar/Darkstar dated Gwen and Charmcaster, despite Gwen being 15/16 and Charmcaster being around 19/20. Then there's Jennifer Nocturne having a faux relationship with Ben (who was 16 at the time), and trying to run off with Carl Nesmith/Captain Nemesis/Overlord, despite Nesmith clearly being a grown adult in presumably in his mid 30s at the earliest. Charmcaster can be ignored since that was just a trick anyway, and she was disguised as a different person at the time (not saying it's not creepy, but she wasn't trying to form an actual relationship). Noctune and Nesmith can be ignored too since it wasn't meant to be a healthy relationship, as it was born from Stockholm syndrome. As for Morningstar, you could place him around 17/18 years old to try and rationalize it, and neither relationship was really genuine to begin with (he just wanted to drain Gwen like the other girls, and he just wanted to feed off the power of Charmcaster's realm). So while there are some weird ages going on here, if they're made to be wrong in the first place I'm not really bothered by it, though I admit I didn't think about the ages much when I first consumed this material. I never thought about it as a kid, but I do get what Kuro and Ash mean when they say that the characters are whatever age they need to be.

I'm pretty sure she told Azmuth that the Ultimatrix was stolen in The Final Battle pt 1., and Myaxx was one of the contestants trying to win Ben's hand in marriage in "The Most Dangerous Game Show" and she got eliminated in the first round.

I think you just summed up what I thought of the Ink Tank too. Thanks to them I realized that Ben 10 was much, much cooler then what I thought when I was younger. With how much they kept the community alive, I wished there was an ideal world where there's people like them in other communities like Pokemon and Smash Bros. That said, it's a shame that Ben himself isn't S Tier. But with all the writing inconsistencies he has, it's understandable why he isn't. (He's still an S Tier in my heart, though. Childhood Animated Hero right there)

I always had a problem with the plumbers kids. Legit wondered how the hell his mother got pregnant by a flaming rock, or how any of those kids could even come to be. Omniverse at least attempted to give a plausible explanation of that mess.

Sucks that they retconned his alien heritage. Considering the fact he was the oldest of his siblings, they could have had an episode where he helps his younger brother or sister with his/her developing Pyronite abilities.

@@FMK03 I'm willing to suspend my disbelieve for certain sci-fi tropes (humanoid body plan, super tech super powers). I would have suspended my disbelief if the pregnancy was given some kind of explanation otherwise you have a fiery rock somehow having the additional superpower to produce gametes capable of fertilizing human egg gametes. Hell I have an issue with anodites not having DNA because it leads to weird implications with the Tennisons that must be filled with "magic did it."

For those who wished Julie would’ve been more prominent in the show, I highly recommend the fanfic “Ben 10 Guardians” by Shadow_DJ. It is a retelling of Omniverse with the tone of the UAF era. One of the most notable changes in this remake is Ben and Julie remaining a couple. There is also the fact that Julie has been promoted to main character with Ship by her side to use various suit modes in battle. Aside from the fact that Ben and Julie remain together in this continuity, the fanfic still follows the main arcs in the canon show with some changes and original episodes in between. Please, I highly recommend reading this fanfic. Besides BenxJulie still being a thing, this fanfic expands on the show’s lore as well as reutilizing almost every character from across the franchise. While story currently hasn’t been updated due to the author’s writer’s block, it’s still a good read and the intended plans for future stories are worth being invested in. I think the original series only made Kai Ben's wife because she was the only love interest he really had in the original series. Well, I guess Tiny exists, but that makes even less sense, and raises questions about the age gap. I recall Julie and Ben arguing a lot, so I'm not surprised they broke up, but I don't like how they did it so flippantly and treated it like a gag. It doesn't help that Kai was M.I.A. for two whole series, and never liked Ben in that way to begin with (she wasn't even much of a friend if we're being honest), so her romantic relationship with Ben didn't feel super authentic.

@@flarestorm9417 Yeah that's always been my biggest problem like yeah it's perfectly reasonable for Ben and Julie to not end up together they fought a lot and you don't always end up with your first girlfriend but one still have them break up normally instead of a joke because their relationship was a thing for multiple season. Two,if you really wanted him to end up with Kai have her appear more like she hadn't been around since the original and that was in one episode but we're supposed to believe Ben's held a torch for her for years. Like I think it would've gone over well if they had just made her a member of the team, her, Ben and Rook could've been Omniverse's trio instead of introducing her at the end
