I quit drinking when a friend called me and told me”do you want your children to remember you as a drunk”? some how that really resonated with me, I had never looked at it that way. I never drank again,I am now two years clean and life is so much better.

Just look at how Jenifer took care of him, drove him to rehab , got him food and told the paparazzi to leave and respect him, she did all that despite the divorce and cheating. Because he is the father of her kids. That woman is a true gem. You would be totally blind if you didn’t realise it.

That’s the life of someone with addiction, it is possible a relapse, but people won’t feel empathy for someone like him, they think it’s a matter of his own will, and it isn’t. The same way if someone find out they have cancer they worry, get a treatment, go into remission. But what if they for some crazy reason find another cancer few years down the road? In my opinion it is the same thing, it is horrible. But there is hope, the same way that is hope for cancer. Same people will die, and some won’t. Hope he gets all support he can, being a celebrity doesn’t help at all.

I loved when he said that too. I’m a mom of two toddlers, and he is so right. The big things are big, but the little things are just as big if not greater. I love little random blurted out things and certain facial expressions because you watch their character unfold. Getting to know them is what it is. Christmas, Birthdays, sporting events shift your focus on the big picture, while everyday life gives you deeper insight to the person that they are. That moved me too when he said that.

@Jennifer Burton It's like trying to cut out eating junk food....You have to "clean up your living environment".... you can't bring junk food [ alcoholic beverages ] into the house because you inherently know your LACK OF DISCIPLINE😏 You know you will eat ( drink ) until there is NOTHING left in the cupboard. @@SC-uq2jf I will agree with you in cleaning up your environment. I just didn’t care for your particular analogy. I WISH it was as easy as giving up sweets or a food that I love. It’s a lifelong battle, morning to night. It’s a mental obsession. It’s years of treatment facilities and various medications. It’s growing up being raped and abused, starved. Years of being in the foster system. Years of abuse with no warmth aside from having a drink. Getting used to numbing yourself because life is so hard. To me, that’s alcoholism. Not simple a matter of “oh I can’t refrain or I have no control” it’s NOT about that, it’s about pain so deep and depression that never ends. That’s what perpetuates the vicious cycle of alcoholism.

@@jenniferburton7044 That was NOT what I meant; Please don't put words in my mouth. Period. Full stop.. It's not a long-term solution, however if you don't have the subtances at your disposal, that's just a start. You still have to do the work to maintain sobriety.

When he said the word “failure” he almost cried and the camera cut. I can see his pain and sadness as he’s trying to put a strong face. I can imagine the struggle of alcoholism in general but to also have a public career, the pressure in the entertainment industry, while trying to be a parent is a lot and I’m so happy to see he’s fighting so hard for his kids to break this generational curse. He’s so blessed to have people who love him. I understand he didn’t want to talk about his marriage and divorce in detail because he’s felt like he let Jennifer down and after everything she physically went to get him help many times for the sake of their kids, that right there is LOVE. I’m just wishing and praying so hard for anyone going through this and that they receive the help, love and second chance ❤️

This man is so incredible, I have so much respect for him for trying to overcome his demons and generational trauma. My dad himself has battled alcoholism and he quit a few years ago. It was one of the hardest things he has done but my family is so much better now. Sure, he still has major mood swings and is prone to anger on occasion due to alcohol withdrawals - but he is improving. Alcoholism destroys families. If you see someone suffering, please get them the help they need.

when people in general, and Christians in particular start asking 'who, what, when, where, why, who told you that and how' before taking any action against their own household or/and others, the orchestrations and machinations of the malicious scandalmongering antichrists will be exposed and derailed. People, there are those who deliberately mislead others away from the truth.....stay in the light as Christ is in the light of truth.

He’s so right, addiction is one of the most painful things you will ever go thru and the most painful part doesn’t even have anything to do with you! I'm so PROUD of him! Beating addictions, especially when normalized by parental figures, is the hardest fight to battle. He now sees it from his children's point of view, which means that mentally he visited himself as a child, and realized the damage he was doing as it was done to him. That's POWERFUL !! He healed his inner childhood traumas by himself. WOW. That's Amazing. And that's what he needed to beat his addiction. He needed to internally face the problem, and he did!! That shows great character and strength! But, let's face it, Ben has always been an Amazing individual!! It helped that Jen was a strong loving woman who supported his recovery. AWESOME STORY!! 💜❤💚
