Yeah he's adorable. That's how you know he can act :) That darkling character is bloody awful. He's a villain. We're supposed to hate him and I did. He started off sort of complicated and tragic, but that didn't last long. Curiosity turns to revulsion before Season one is over. And Ben played every nuance beautifully. Right up to "let me be your villain" lol I love that line. This fantasy world is so well timed, with the current wars and natural disasters on our minds, the 21stc real life orcs and goblins tryinta be tzars and begging the whole world to 'get liberated' with an iron fist, and > pls clap *Boo Hiss.* Ben made me want to smack that narcissistic darkling guy with a wooden paddle. Soooo bad. Such a release from the stress and crazy on the evening news. And I love him for it 🖤❤🖤 His ASMR is cute, too 🥰

I haven't read the books, but yeah. The ending was fast and final. I had to look and see if there were more books (thankfully there are.) There is a season 3 in the works and I'm glad. I wasn't sure after watching the Season 2 finale. I'm guessing that the series will go in a completely different direction after that. I'd love to see Ben for another few seasons, but... not sure how even a magical guy can come back from that. Marvel's Professor X in a brand new body, maybe? Dude had a twin brother who will also be played by Ben? Other than that, I just don't see it.

Don't worry. If there is season 3 in coming Ben WILL COME BACK. At least,in the books he does. There are many indications in the series for his return, too, for example the bee flying next to Zoya. Besides, I doubt the writers would kick his character out considering that he's one of the most popular characters and certainly the most famous actor. So, IF there is a season 3 (of which I haven't heard that it's officially confirmed, but anyway) I can reassure you there will be Ben in it, too (in one way or another).

@@irrumnaaz yes, that will be the problem. I read a few days ago an article about the streaming rate of shadow and bone and it wasn't good at all. Given the high cancellation rate on Netflix I am indeed really afraid. If season 2 is the final ending of the story it will be very devastating. So LET US STREAM THAT CRAP OF SEASON 2 SO THAT WE MAY BE REWARDED WITH A BETTER SEASON 3!!!💫

@@clarkgriffin123 season 2 is made from Books 2 & 3 combined. So, yeah, darkling is dead by the end of book3/ season 2. Book 3 is the last of trilogy and next two books are on crows. If they make a season 3, the plot is totally up to the writers at least where Alina is concerned. I wouldn't except darkling to come back, that's the problem with playing a villain in series, you have to die so the writers could introduce new villains

I so hope not tbh. wanting him to be associated with the disgusting person that JKR is would be like wishing for his downfall.

He’s too old, sadly. Sirius was 35 when he died, and Ben is already past 40. By the time they get to PoA (5-6 years from now) he’ll be nearly 50.

Exactly! The question came out of nowhere. Ben probably thought the same. There are literally millions of questions you could ask him but they chose just something completely off the road. Well, anyway, the interviewer could ask him which colour his socks are and I would still watch this video on repeat hahahahhah

Hahahaha it’s actually not random, it’s referring to Amita shouting “Knife” take after take when they were shooting the scene where she throws one at the Darkling. Ben and Amita have mentioned it in a lot of interviews!
