I prefer the more stripped down versions of these songs opposed to the last few albums. It’s amazing how healing a raw voice can be. I hope this opens the door to less production on future material.

I wanted you to know that "What Sarah Said" is very impactful to me. I LOVE the song but I simply cannot listen to it. It asks an important question but it's one I don't want to think about. But more than that, the way the song was arranged, performed and recorded was perfection IMO. Once I was able to actually absorb the song it hit me pretty hard. In short, I was changed because of that song and I thank you for it. Summer Skin is gorgeous too.

This session was extremely nostalgic for my husband and me today! We met 13 years ago when were 19. I was more into Postal Service stuff but he was a die hard DCFC fan. Lol I think at one point he was in love with you😂 He was traveling for work when we met and would call to serenade me. All of these songs today made us go back in time..I can't hear Follow you into the Dark without sobbing. Thanks for filling our heart bubbles! Sending love from Mukilteo WA☺

that line: "sorrow drips into your heart through a pinhole, just like a faucet that leaks and there is comfort in the sound, while you debate half empty or half full it slowly rises; your love is gonna drown" is one of the best lines Ben Gibbard has ever written. That and 'What Sarah Said' are so beautifully written.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your music with us and bringing some joy during these uncertain times. I've been a fan since I was 15 (turning 32 this year), and your songs have provided the soundtrack to my life. I was lucky to see you guys live in Paris years ago, I'll never forget that concert. Side story - Started listening to you in the early 2000s, so obviously my iPod was filled with your songs. I passed on that iPod to my youngest brother when he was around 9 (he is now 18), so he also inherited all those songs and some of my taste in music. He has been a big fan of yours since then. Thank you, Ben!!!

I’ve been listening to your music for almost 20 years- which is crazy to think about. I can even remember what was happening in my life during every album, show, etc...Isn’t it fascinating how much music can tie in so many memories over your life? Anyway, super cheesy, but over the past 20 years, I used to ask for a CD, concert tickets, etc. for my bday and I’m totally excited to listen to your live stream on Friday, for my 35th bday, quarantined in Chicago, chillin on the couch lol. Thank you so much for this, man. I’m living in California, I’m going to be 30 on 3/31, and had a 2 week trip planned to Washington with my girlfriend. Was so stoked to introduce her to my grandparents in Port Angeles and stay with them for a couple days. We had a beautiful Air BnB in the woods where she planned to paint, I would get to write some songs, and we’d go on some hikes. We were going to take the ferry over to Seattle on the morning of my birthday to visit the Chihuly Garden and have dinner that evening at the top of the Space Needle, with my Cousins from Kirkland, to then crash with them for the rest of our time there. I used no vacation time last year so we could plan that trip and spend as much time as we wanted...none of that can happen now, not for the “big 30”, at least...with all that being said, we’re happy to have your “live from home” sessions to turn to. I’ve never had the opportunity to see any of your projects live, I’ve been listening to nothing but DC, PS, (a lot of Sun Kil Moon, RHP, also). It is such a beautiful birthday present to feel like you’ve recorded these sessions for me, specifically. And I can’t thank you enough for posting these. Hopefully after the world is back to normal, when my girlfriend and I can try our trip again, I can say thank you in person at a show in WA. Stay well, my beautiful friend.......P.S. if you could squeeze in, My Mirror Speaks, I would probably cry joyful tears through the entire thing.
