Love the way Ben sings this song!! He is a talent on his own. Yes, he is our dear Merl's son but he has enough talent of his own to make his own path. Merle gave him this wonderful opportunity to let the world hear him sing and play that guitar and now he can forge his own path. He is so talented that there is no way that country music fans aren't going to receive him with open arms! God bless you, Ben. I look forward to hearing you sing country for many, many years.

Me too Sandra. So thankful he still supports the music we love. Not all the children of country stars embrace their parents music so we are blessed to have him.

Love Noel Lee & Ben. All 5 Haggard's. I've been writing SONGS For Noel Lee & Ben. One for Scott that is really Good. Some of Them are Good. I'm a Nobody from Nowhere. No training. A 66 yr old Disabiled Nurse. But a Little Common Sense Goes a Long Ways. Would know how to get The Songs to Noel Lee, Ben and Scott. Don't even have them printed up off of My Phone. As much as I would like to meet The Boys. I would not want Them to meet ME With the Shape I'm in. But it's like WHAT IF ONE OF MY SONGS DID REALLY GOOD FOR EACH OF THEM. MANY BLESSINGS TO THE HAGGARD 5. ROCKING COUNTRY MUSIC. MR MERLE-- Noel Lee, Ben, Marty and Scott

Ben has such great voice sounds like Merle so very much. Hope he will continue what he's doing he is very good. I love to hear him sing .

If you follow Ben on Instagram he has been in the studio and they have released a few short samples. No release date yet on the new album.

I think about that, too. People who still want to hear Merle will listen, plus those songs were so good. I wouldn't know this wasn't Merle.

@@joycemcfee1829 I agree and I will listen to him because I loved Merle’s music so very much. And with “pop goes the country” being the prevailing trend today, keeping his father’s music alive is a worthwhile goal.

Thanks for the comment! Ben has been recording a few new things that aren’t original Merle tunes. I just posted today he has a song on Dolly Parton’s new CD that is being released March 4th of this year. He has told me he will release a CD of his own tunes in the future and has a few already written.

Hey Joel, the best way to keep up with them is to download the Bandsintown app on your smartphone. It allows you to track your favorite artists and will send you a notification when they announce a new show. Hope you can make it to a show!

@@fiddlinjazz I am not aware of the name unfortunately. Ben’s band is mostly made up of members of Merle’s band or current Nashville players. The band changes depending on which coast he is playing which is a real treat. They are amazing because Merle had the best touring band in the business. It is a very authentic country sound and they are just incredible.

nothing against it all ,ben cuts the cloth no problem, but Clint was the man for years even as merles main lead man but ya cut him out sound wise ,ya just don't disrespect that man ,just my take
