My grandma, granddaddy, momma, daddy, aunt's and uncles and friends went to the pine tree bar in Panama many nights to watch merle and Bonnie..... heard those stories all my life, how lucky they were!!! How COOL...👍👍.. I won front row & center tickets, from a Country radio station in DesMoines, Ia..... A couple of years ago Merle & the Strangers were playing. In Ames ,Ia (College Town). I believe it was his LAST performance (don't Qoute me tho).. A few days later heard on the news that Merle was gone 😪😢😥.. Still have tix Stubbs... I've loved ol'Merle since I was a youngin..... AND THE BEST THING ABOUT THAT NITE.... I said to the Man , that we love him & he turned to me AND LOOKED STRAIGHT AT ME & said I love you too...... True Sorry About Your Wife. I know the PAIN. I lost My Husband of almost 46 yrs 8-14-2021. Our House is So LONESOME WITHOUT MY BOBBY I started back listening to Mr Merle. Looked up His Family Information. Also lost Our 37 Yrs old Son 7-30-2015. We Starting back listening to Mr Merle, Noel, Ben everynight. They Sved My Sanity. And Our Other 3 Kids with Their Family. Taylor Swift is twenty times the musician she is and that’s taking into full account she ain’t no Emmylou Harris or Anne Wilson And FGL has some of the shallowest, hazy-stoned lyrics and junior-high percussion since the plethora of bands that didn’t make it past 1970.

First time I saw Merle...I didn't. I was waiting at the Douglas County fair in Oregon. Merle was headed south on I-5 and kept right on going. This was around 1984 my girlfriend and I popped into the chevy nova and popped in some Haggard. Still a fan in 2013.
