Chat from Ben about being far away from the audience.....is he talking about the awful Guardian review of his gig on the 16th that was published in the morning. One of the many things the reviewer picked on was how far away Ben was from the edge of the stage! As well as what he was wearing, the name of his new single Heave Ho and much more! And obvs no Every Kingdom songs!!!

Thank you very much Brixton! I feel like i'm a long way away from you here. It does feel like a long way doesn't it? Sometimes it feels further, but sometimes it feels closer. But certainly you here are quite a long way away. I'd like to say a big thank you for coming here and being so near, it's actually quite close really! [can't figure this out] Thank you for coming out here often, really? [can't figure this out] I think a lot of people misconstrue that as me not wanting to be in the same room as people, but it's very nice to be in the same room with so many people. So... thank you very much. It's a very bad time to say thank you to people, cause they've left the stage. "Thanks guys...." This is Cathy, Richie and Mickey here. [can't figure this out] .....Start with.... [can't figure this out] It's been a very interesting record to bring to life, and i'm very appreciative of the band we have at the moment and the people that make it come together. Some days it sucks, you know! Other days i forget all about it. But that's how it works, doesn't it. Some days i forget how to play guitar as well. Not today!

Larch As a guitarist myself, I can play it comfortably and by the sounds of it, you can too. But the creativity of it is incredible. I don’t know if you’ve seen other live performances of it on this tour, but he sometimes plays it completely upside down on his Silvertone Bobkat. Which is insane.

Does anyone know the tuning for this? I tried with DADGAD but it doesn’t sound 100% right.

It's CGCFGC (dadgad step down), but may also be played in drop C (CGCFAD), as he mostly uses only 4 bottom strings in this song. The chord shapes that he uses in this variation of IFWWW can easily be recognized as drop tuning shapes if you look closer (middle for main note, ring for 5th, pinky for octave and index for major or minor 3rd) and if you know how to learn by ear you'll have no trouble with this one. There's also one tricky chord there (A#sus2/A) where you place middle finger one fret down (maj7 bottom) and index two frets lower than major 3rd (sus2 on 3rd string).

@@GaleOfPeril Thanks for the in depth answer! I know nothing about music theory, so the chords you mentioned make little sense to me, but from what I can tell the shapes are (from lowest string and up): 3-3-3-2, 2-3-3-2, 7-7-7-5, 5-5-5-4, 10-10-10-9, 9-10-10-7. I'm not sure about the chorus tho...

I've been missing her too, she's and awesome musician and a huge part of Ben's music. It was so lovely to see her at Brixton Academy and at The Eden Project.
