I enjoyed that Amber. Beautiful studio mix and I enjoy the guitar top percussion. I also enjoyed his voice.

This version is good but the actual studio recorded version has so much more passion. It means so much to him and you can feel it, it’s on the keep your head up single. Ben Howard is by my favorite artist of all time for exactly the reason that he puts so much into his music and you can feel how much of what he’s singing means to him. The entire “I forget where we were” album is absolute brilliance.

@@chazblitz I’ve actually seen Rodrigo y Gabriela live. I don’t know a lot about this guy other than he’s British and I stumbled across him some years ago.

I'm happy to see him getting some more play. Not only does he have an amazing and unique voice but as a songwriter he is hard to match. Very rarely do you find an artist who you can listen to their entire song list and not have a single one that you skip or don't like. It's his voice, his writing and he doesn't fall into the trap of having his songs all sound alike. Anybody reading this you need to check out "Bones" and "Gracious" by him.

Just found this now, BEAUTIFUL! Reminds me a little of Mumford and Sons. Sifa's description of young kid with old wisdom is spot-on (especially the Spiderman actors).

He did a live version of this one of his gigs it was next level incredible, a little more poignant and energy than what he delivered in this one but it’s a good studio version less some energised vocals

Nice vid guys. One thing though, it seems like a good idea to have each one of you on a different channel but it just plays out as jarring. I think it would be best to have you both on one channel.

This was nice. Agree with Sifa about the voice sounding both old & young at the same time. Gave me a bit of a Tracy Chapman or Joan Armatrading vibe. Also the minimal chords and instrumentation gave it a haunting quality which I liked (a depth over distance?). Thanks Amber and SAD!

The only that stood out for me was his awful voice. While the backing was ok, was so basic. His pick and go is so tedious. That's how very small children hold a guitar. Some goons think this is original, it's not. One of the great exponents of this was Jeff Healey. The percussion on the guitar is so old hat too. Check out Paco De Lucia. The other thing is Jeff and Paco can actually PLAY the guitar!!!! Lyrically it is just a lot of very old and very tired cliches strung together. As shallow as a puddle. I can see why deadhead radio listeners, modern Simon and Garfunkel types and undiscerning music listeners might like it but it's not for me. He comes over as a creep to me, like Ed Sheeran. Ben Howard? More like Ben Dover!

@@AmberPearcy No offence was meant at you Amber. I just find everything about it just bland, The vocals are quarter of a century out of date. Vicarious, The Pot, !0,000 days from 10,000 days would have us aligned, lol. Many people take a shot at my requests, Happy Valentines Day🤗

@@chazblitz I didn't "hate" it. It's just that more and more of bland music is constantly being re-hashed. That's bad enough but for the artist to take themselves seriously I find pretentious to say the least. Around quarter of a century ago, it was popular to have a shitty voice over simple music. I can't think of the artist just now ( senility ) but it will come to me, but like David Gray and many others from that time...if you get what I mean.
