@@omlette0There was nothing the West did. In the last seventy years for africa africa has descended father into proverty No country has really prospered underneath colonizers, especially the former french colonies, who are being exploited by france and literally being stormed and deprived of Enjoying the profits of their own resources. There are exceptional countries such as Nigeria and other countries, but most of these countries live in abject, property and most of the people live below the property level underneath colonizers. Who are the one who benefit from African resources? Congo is a good example. Of how countries have not progressed since independence also Chad and others. Russia could do no worse than the colonizers. That are there now and don't blame this, just don't corrupt. Leaders, it's also the unfair treating that European nations have with African nations that guarantee the proverty of these countries. While europe enjoys the benefits of their resources such as electricity running through niger and the laughing connections lighting up europe, while applications have virtually no electricity.

I don't know, if Musenevi didn't do it due to health conditions because of his age (seems that his body is showing that), but I wish though, he would've stretched out his hand and given Putin a more passionate handshake. Well my friend, Dictators have that facet of caring they show the rest of the world (It's like insurance policy against their people incase they tried to make a case) . Come down to Uganda and you will be shocked of how unpopular your Heroes (M7 and Son) are @ home. If we could hand that tyrant and son to ICC ourselves, our nation would have moved 35 (years he's been in power) steps in the direction of true democracy and freedoms. He can pretend to fight for Africa all he wants and depict the west as monstrous ( BTW people he's worked with for the last 35 years and whose gov'ts have supported our failed economy for that long) but here at home we know the true him (A loner and sadist he's always been). We in Uganda are watching all this drama unfold and are waiting for that time when the Tyrant shall fall. He's robbed our country of so much that one can barely recognize the pearl of Africa. Enslaving his own people to chains of poverty through nepotism and control of the country's wealth. That Junta has militarized everything raging from religion to Healthcare. He's despicable and it kills me whenever I see naïve people on the net throwing him praises because of his braggart talks. I guess he's supper mad at the west because they are the only people that have asked for accountability of his atrocities on the people of Uganda and in the neighboring nations. He one time claimed to be the master of violence and chaos, on another occasion claimed he works for himself and family etc. Must I remind you all viewers that while M7 takes to the world stage a war against the "white imperialists", It wasn't them ("imperialists") that murdered Ugandan people in the recently concluded "election". We still grieving for our beloved one's that are picked on by his security till to date and are never seen or heard of again. Time will tell comrades but I sincerely don't see this ending well.

Museveni's proposal to Russia & China sounds good; To discourage by policy the importing of raw materials from Africa, to instead work with the Africans to add value at source. This would, in a very short time, transform the economies of Africa from a low income to high and/or first world income levels. I think this is a good proposal and a step in the right direction for the African economy.

Russia needs to keep her present in these countries, and Uganda has a lot of minerals and resources that's not been tapped. Russia knows everywell Uganda is the power house of africa. US-Africa conference, was America telling Africa what to do, and the leaders were not given a one-on-one audience to talk business like fair partners. I also noticed in the general setting this conference had a round table signifying that all parties are equal. At the US-Africa summit, the US and Europe are in front telling the rest what to do. This is how you know genuine partners from wolves in sheep's clothing.

Well, Korea was split in half; North Korea and South Korea. North Korea was supported by Russia and China. South Korea was supported by the US. 50 years later; how did the countries do? The US is all about freedom; China and Russia is all about suppressing. No question; China has had a fluorescing economy the last 50m years but they will not manage to get to the next level if they keep suppressing their people. Freedom is what makes people flourish. And creativity comes from freedom.

Yes even the African Leaders were not allowed to drive their entourage to the state funeral of the latecQueen in UK they were put into busses and brought there were all other white run countries drove their in there big bullet proofed cars with guards etc no respect was shown to African countries, the same as Poland when the 7 African leaders arrived in Poland to change flights to Ukraine they were given no diplomatic treatment or diplomatic immunity as the European and US leaders were they were strip searched and kept held up in investigation rooms, their plane was searched 24 hours of being degraded by 5hem and then after all that only the leaders were allowed to go to Ukraine not their journalists body guards or entourage. It was disgraceful and racist no other countries that have been to Ukraine have ever been treated like that. Then the west wonders why it allies with Russia China.

I recall clearly that in 2022 the USA ambassador to UN "allowed" Uganda to buy Russian grain but said it could face USA sanctions if it bought oil or LNG. So, it looks like the Anglo-American Empire is going to let Russia invest heavily in African countries because the Empire itself doesn't want to spend money in developing them, and then find a cunning way to kick Russia out and profit from their developed economies in the future.

It’s an interesting time in geopolitics. All the major superpowers are trying to coo Africa to their side. And they seem almost desperate. There’s a time for everything. However, I have more respect for Russia’s historical record in Africa than all the rest. Let’s see how things pan out. We need to sanitize our own backyard too, as Africans. We still have a lot of shady leaders who’re not doing justice (pun intended) by their people.

Oil is the energy of the past. And we need to be off it as soon as possible, if Africa is going to remain habitable. Africa can be a green energy super power. Supplying Electricity to all of Europe and Asia. And providing free power for its people.

remember fukishoma..remeber tchernobyle...in those most develepoed countries who take a deep care for hazards...what will happen if unexperience african country get a nuclear power...it is a no no...stay away from nuclear power stick to hydro electro power ..its way cheaper ..way safe and we africans have vast water flows...musevini you are making a great mistake for advocating nuclear power other than that was all well ,,specially when u say buy finished products,,

@@nihil85 how much kickback is Russia paying to the M7 family for selling off their country? Luckily my country Germany abandonned nuclear power. Turned out to be too risky and complicated for our engineers. but Uganda does better.

@@nihil85 bro dont you think those engeeners at fukishima wernt highly trained...its not about training or taking great care..its about the nature of the chemicals when they combine we have no control of them,,,better not to combine them than getting them together and hoping it will work...so stay away from nuclear powers...beside all western countreis are abandaning their nuclear powers and seeking a place else where to deploy it,, while their own ppl wount allow the storing of nuclear elemets as they are are dangereous even after 100 yrs...so hands off nuclear power...
