The problem of our country Somaalia started in 1974. That's when we joined the Arab League. The whole world fought against us because we entered a door that was not our home. Siad Barre sold us Arabs and the Arabs brought us al-Shabaab. A dictator president is like a blind person. If you lead a blind man, he will throw you in a hole. Siad Bare threw us into a hole😅

Great oratory and wisdom. Perhaps not much seems to have happened in the 40 years of M7’s reign, but he’s speech directly highlights the challenges he’s faced as a leader in achieving sustainable development. I think he’s brought to light the intricacies of foreign policy and how governments must ask for the right support. He jests about capacity building and ICT communications which are very relevant but could certainly be more useful if we targeted these towards reducing production costs including transport and electricity - two of Africa’s main socio-economic issues. This is a landmark speech.

I am against the Idea of foreign nationals always attending African meetings. It is impossible to make a successful development plan when you are strategizing at the same table with your oppressor.
@willieteb7993Ай бұрын
You're absolutely right. Ecowas has been hijacked by western nations, France, EU and America, that's why Burkina Faso Mali and Niger pulled.
@rwandannoble4990Ай бұрын
Not only that, even talking about our strategies in our local media is wrong. Everything should be discussed behind closed doors. That's how Kagame and his team defeated French and Belgium soldiers who were behind the genocide against Tutsi in Rwanda in 1994. Everything was done in top secrecy and discretion, up to now, you'll never know what Rwandans are planning.

This man melts my heart when I see him speaking from his soul. One thing that necessitates the need for raw material export is our own lack of quality education and critical scientific understandings. We need our now and future generation to focus on education primary in science engineering. For fundamental transformation, we need scientific and creative independence. Yet, our young people spend their days on the street and their children continue to do the same, and then, the shackle of mental slavery and dependency will continue.
