@@sunnybarua6028 the Great Assamese Poet Shri Lakshminath Bezbaroa Ji lived in Sambalpur Odisha for 20 years from 1917 to 1937 . It is there He wrote most of His Works . When news came that construction of a bridge over the river Mahanadi would endanger the house where lived , the locals sought to save the historical place . Ultimately the plan was changed to preserve the house and it has been renovated and is now open for visitors .

Two reasons why civilian govt are overthrown: - Pakistan might progress, that will put military generals to where they belong. So they will have less chances to make more money and capture land. - When some foreign power needs Pakistan. That's when boys like Zia and Mushi come into power. That why they stamp everything Pakistan needs to do. PTI's wins this election was also a defeat. Awam went totally opposite to the narrative of boys. I will never forget a phrase that Hameed boy uttered in Kashif Abbasi interview "fall in line". That shows the thinking of generals. And this is what you see in Pakistan. They hate leaders, until they fall in line and pick leaders who take their line.

British maintained their power on the subcontinent through two main policies - 1- destroying the indigenous education system and replacing it with one whose main purpose was not to create intellect or inquiry but to follow order without thinking. 2- Removal of any and all means of resistance from the population. There's a reason US 2nd amendment is right to bear arm, they know from experience what happened to powerless population infront of their own government... These two factors along with widespread poverty created a population which has neither much intellect nor any power to enforce their will as such democracy really has no chance against the brown sepoys named Pakistan army... In India things were marginally better because the movement for independence was actually from the grassroot and the leaders we created actually had the people support about the kind of nation we wanted and the army was and is part of the masses and not a scheme for separating from it. And still it's a bloody struggle to this day, there's more to democracy than a vote once every half a decade with the same rotten choices...
