If after the vote of no confidence the PDM would have called elections. They would have had much more credibility. Probably a coalition government would still be required. But when a government has credibility from genuine elections even if it is coalition government, it can take a stand against the establishment. But if a government comes into power from their blessing, it is weak irrelevant if it's IK or PDM government now

The only difference between IK and others PPP & PMLN is that HE POINTED THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM 🐘 "THE NEUTRALS" , no one not even Nawaz or BHUTTOS Had the Guts, therefore your IK anger is less justified, yes he used them, but today TOP NEUTRALS are still angry with IK and WAITING FOR HIS SORRY TO THEM and in speeches they say "PAKISTANIS HAVE TO LIVE AS WE SAY" , that is the difference between IK and others.

I meant to say what about the current decade. Talking about history gives you perspective about what has happened over time but that doesn't mean we stop talking about what's happening now. It's only the right perspective (learned from historical experiences) and correct current actions that will possibly lead us to any future (wish a brighter one though with each passing day it's chances are just fading away).

So the summary is PTI was build against the democracy and before 2018 we had a better democracy and PPP and PMLN agreed to not to take help from establishment, but they did it again in 2024 lol and khan is yet to be blamed more, khan made the mistake to stand with establishment once and PMLN and PPP did that many times and still khan is the bad boy here, bruh no offence but u seems more like a bias person, Khan openly accepted his mistake and khan been the critics of the war and establishment in his old interviews as well but the point is he made the mistake and accepted it but nawaz and zardari party are keep on repeating that but they are off the equation coz khan is the bad boy, khan was already a popular person he had his struggle of 25 years but Nawaz was given direct govt posts and yet khan got helped but couldn't win in his old elections as many seats

Charter of democracy was defeated for the first time in 2007 when Benazir made a deal with USA and establishment to come back and participate in elections. Nawaz called it a backstabbing! 2. ⁠charter of democracy was defeated for the second time when Nawaz conspired with Gen. Kiani and led a long march from Lahore against PPP. Gen Kiani then forced PPP to acede to pmln demands of changing judiciary before the long march reached jhelum. The new judges then removed the disqualification bar from Nawaz as part of his deal with Kiani. 3. ⁠charter of democracy was defeated again when Nawaz conspired with establishment to bring down the govt of PM Gillani and wore black coat and went to Supreme Court against govt on Kiani’s insistence in the memogate scandal. 4. ⁠Nawaz also conspired with establishment to launch a flurry of cases against zardari and rest of PPP, defeating the very purpose of charter of democracy. 5. ⁠PPP then hit back and conspired with establishment to bring down pmln govt in Balochistan in 2017, thus defeating Charter of Democracy for fifth time in a span of a few years. All these defeats before Khan did anything. However, the randi rona of pmln supporters on so called charter of democracy still continues to this day 🤣

Putting your imranophobic assessment aside, several events occurred between the PPP and PML-N after cod that you ignored to put the blame solely on PTI. If the charter of democracy was so sacred, why did khawaja asif go against Yousuf Raza Gilani and had him disqualified? Even 90% of corruption cases were registered by the PML-N and PPP against each other after this charter, and it is widely known that they used these cases for blackmail and political maneuvering. During Imran Khan's tenure, when genuine investigations began, several investigation officers and witnesses killed or died under suspicious circumstances. Bottom line is , this charter of democracy was not signed between a feudal lord and a protégé of Zia for the benefit of the people or democracy but to ensure their generations to come in power.

What a punchline! I would laugh if it wasn’t all so tragic🥲 A very well composed and delivered synopsis of the gradual but sure decline of Pakistan. Its heart breaking isn’t it, when our eyes open to the real workings behind politics of power and manipulation of democracy for the purposes of the Project!?

An unbiased mind can easily feel the difference of poltical characters of different political parties and leadership over different period of times. PPP character relatively remained more pro democracy , consistent despite hardships , threats and challenges. Yes, they made compromises on certain occasions, but these were to move ahead few steps in right direction , if situation is not allowing to cover miles and go beyond certain limits. PML yes, learnt a lot, but they remained always willing to jeopardise poltical and democratic norms, whenever it helped them to destabilize PPP. Memogate was one typical example, similarly 19th ammendment just to please that time judiciary lead by Iftekhar Ch. It has damaged parliament and we can find roots of current judicial politically biased system in that amendment.

You skipped on the Nawaz Sharif,'s London APC when all the parties agreed on two point agenda: not to contest election under Musharaf and declare MQM as terrorist organization. It was PPP which made the famous NRO deal and announced it'll contest election. PPP also facilitated in dismantling the elected government of Baluchistan and helped in elected Sadiq Sanjrani not once but twice as chairman Senate. PPP was part of GDA which went to Mirza Aslam Beg and tell Musharaf to remove Nawaz Sharif. Beg mentioned about that meeting in his column.

Beautiful! I agree with your analysis about IK and his horrid legacy. However, our difference of opinion is on one's relationship with the state. I feel one should strive for removing the injustices and ills existing in the system currently in place (as you so passionately are) without becoming anti-state. This anti-state narrative that is usually propagated by leftists and those who espouse postmodernism could drive many just right of centre people away who otherwise agree with you. Similarly, we should all condemn the Army's meddling in politics, whether overtly in the form of martial laws or covertly in the form of political engineering or hybrid regimes. There can be no compromise on this. However, we need to keep in mind that their day job of protecting the country in the dangerous neighbourhood we live in and from homegrown terrorism is of crucial importance too. While the importance of their day job doesn't give them to the licence to meddle in politics; it does require that while condemning their political role, we shouldn't become anti-Army.

I was a big supporter of IK till 2014's Dharna! But at that certain point when IK forced people to march towards Pam's House, that was the turning point fort me and then I realize IK is not as he's pretending!
