Super Tuesday was March 5 this year, that was during Spring Training, so if the ISS was over Florida or Arizona it would count, however according to historical tracking data, the ISS did not have a flight path above either of them at 1:00 PM EST or 1:00 PST that day.

The animosity is also that the Yankees and their associated media basically condemned the Orioles for their pitching strategy when they hit Judge, while they have over 3x as many HBP against the O's and are leading the league in batters plunked.

Ngl it’s crazy that the orioles 2 HBP’s on Judge and Torres almost had worse consequences than all of the Yankees HBP’s on the orioles except for the head shot. As per usual, I agree with Jomboy’s take. He clearly didn’t throw it at him on purpose. But they are intentionally throwing up and in a lot and aren’t able to control it well enough and are, consequently, hitting orioles players way too much. And in this case he got drilled in the head with a 97 mph pitch. Orioles had every right to be pissed. If you’re in a car accident and the other driver, who caused the accident, has been driving kind of recklessly, you can be pissed at him for it, even if it wasn’t intentional.
@georgea5991
@georgea5991 Ай бұрын
But if your history of being "involved in unintentional" car accidents is higher than the norm, it would be safe to assume "intent" isn't really a factor either way... Just like if a team has a culture of hitting other teams with pitches far more than normal; sure, they aren't "intentionally" being reckless, but recklessness never requires intent, anyway 🤷🏻‍♂

you betcha! also, the yanks need to understand that it is words spoken in the heat of the moment, nothing more. Boony (or ANY other manager) would likely have the very same reaction in that situation. just take the verbal abuse and play ball. I'm thinking every member of the yankees team has had worse things said to them over lesser events in their careers. I'm betting than when this was looked back on by the Orioles manager, he'll know that in that situation it wasn't likely an intentional HBP. Praying for Heston's speedy recovery. Yankees have no right saying "that's not on purpose" when they've hit as many Orioles as they have. Unless my count is off the O's have hit 3 Yankees, meanwhile the Yanks are up to 10 the other way. The icing in the cake is Judge telling the media that the O's pitchers shouldn't pitch up and in if they can't control their pitches. A bit tone-deaf at that point.

@Samael1113
@Samael1113 Ай бұрын
@@Saphfire05 That is the one fight you are not likely to see in serious leagues. Unless the rules have changed. A Goalie fighting another goalie means at least one of them is crossing the red line and an instant misconduct ejection. And while minor and moderate 2 or 5m penalties can be served by a teammate - when the misconducts start getting handed out, the goalie is the last person on the team you want to get them. Non-transferable and you usually only have 2 or 3 players for that position as opposed to 6 specialists, and 30-40 relatively easy swaps or subs for any other position. Even in the most clownshoes of Hockey games I've seen where literally every 5-10m was a bench clearing explosion of gear and people pairing off to beat the snot out of each other, the 2 people doing nothing but listlessly skating around their creases were the goalies. Something like 300-400m of total penalties in one game (later increased to about 500 from a longer suspension by the league due to a headbut after refs were involved), and none of them went to the goalies.

The thing though is theres just no one as hatable as AROD was at the time on either team. I like him now (hes come a along long way [ironically its Jeter who is the POS]), but 2003-2004 EVERYONE hated AROD and he just loved the attention so it just compounded it. At the time there was a shirt worn all over Boston that listed all of the yankees players on the back followed by suck, except for AROD: Mariano Rivera... sucks Hideki Matsui... sucks Derek Jeter... sucks and A-Rod blows!
