I carry my Bugouts much more after I added titanium scales to them. They feel better to me with a little more weight. They'd look amazing with some knurled/textured titanium scales. But that's true for most knives IMHO 😁

Definately awesome knives especially if your into axis locks. I own the benchmade Mini Freek and I'd put it up against either of the other two mini's, Osborne and bugout, as I just like the feel in hand better. Thanks for the great vid Kevin and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

I just picked up the cf s90v bugout and it fires out ok but stiff as hell and won't even think of dropping on its own. I'm gonna try your method.

I customized a Bugout through Benchmade about a year ago and it's edge and action didn't compare to the Deka. Visually it's a beauty; completely blacked out, textured aluminum handle, black 20CV blade, blacked out hardware, it looks sick AF. I need to tune it and get Mike to sharpen it. It's a sweet knife. The Gen 1 Deka I own has not lost a step in it's action and smoothness. It's still sticky sharp and basically brand new because I bought another in the red lava G-Mascus as one of my EDC's. The bugout destroys the Deka in ergos and sex appeal and probably my choice to marry, but the Deka is one hell of a useful side chick.

If you carry the mini for a couple of weeks you will appreciate it more . It really does everything I need it to do plus It really disappears in the pocket. You hear that said a lot but the mini really does.

Today till this day and age I have a bunch of Benchmade knives, but never got to using my North Fork, I’m up in the air on returning it, and can pick up the mini cf s90v bugout 533-3 for 50 bucks more than what I paid for the north fork at REI. I like little knives, the large Inkosi is my biggest knife, and most of my carrying is mini crooked with a GEC for the back pocket. Otherwise most of my knives are 3 and under. What would be your opinion on the two if I should swap for the s90 mini for the difference, or hold on to the north fork. It gets no play. I just know I may miss it if I let it go. Lol. But the s90 would be great for a little knife bc it’s not gonna be hard use, obviously, so it’ll be a longer held edge for the little guy.

I have the CF s90v Bugout and the 20cv Deka Wharncliffe, the standard bugout and standard Deka there's no comparison, Deka wins all day, but when you bring in the CF s90v Bugout that's going to win, but you have to remember Deka for 150ish CF s90v Bugout for 270

Appreciate the code for white mountain knives saved me a little cash. Got the artisan cutlery Orion micarta version. Pretty impressive for the money the action is great and it’s drop shut out the box! As always love the content and videos

Dude…. I just finished replacing my bugout scales like 10 minutes ago…. And then you posted this. Weirrrrdddduh. Im having trouble with getting my pivot to the perfect spot. I used blue loctite (obviously) and tightened it and it was like stupid stiff so I kept loosening it like a 16th of a turn until it starting popping open nicely, but it STILL won’t drop shut AND still has some back/forth play.. any tighter and it’s too stiff.. any looser and it has too much play. I feel like, unless the washers are polished clean (like mirror polished) I can’t get it to where I want it. Maybe I’m being too picky. What do you think?

For my my one do it all knife would be the full size Adamas. I’ve put it through some shit and I don’t mind it not being noticeable. Finniest thing is I went from a bugout to the Adamas. No I’m between 😂

Having that exact version of the Bugout, I'm not that impressed. To get any decent action, I have to loosen the pivot so much that there's a ton of side-to-side blade-play. 535-3 is the Carbon Fiber version that goes for $255 most places. S90V Blade.

Douchey 🤣 🤣 🤣. I really like the 535-3, but I'm a budget knife guy so I'll never get to own one. Interesting review though. Seems almost everyone prefers the Hogue Deka v2 over any Benchmade 535 or 530. By the way, the difference in the feel of the action is probably because the 535-3 is uncoated. Coated blades don't ever feel quite as good as uncoated in my opinion.
