Could you use any lubricant for for when you mock it up around 3:00? Just curious. This looks clean!

Thanks! We use a silicone lube to mock up the pieces so they slide completely into the hubs and so they can be easily pulled out after they've cooled. Then the lube is wiped away. The lube we use is Molykote 111. It's expensive but we already stock it for multiple applications.

What are the plugs you mentioned to keep the pipe round and avoid it being distorted? Could you share the brand/model number? I have heard of plugs being used to increase heat up time when pipe is in a hot box, haven’t heard it used to keep the pipe round through out the length. I believe Rackateers makes a spring you can insert into PVC to help create even bends without worry of pipe distortion.
