The conversion of an articulated school bus into a tiny home/mobile home

Tiny home. *Has more square meters than my apartment.*

Hahah right. When he said kingsize bed, I'm laying in my queen in my bedroom that it barely fits in with a dresser. If I put a king I'd have no floor to walk around. Pretty nice feature for a tiny home.

most are mid engine buses which are difficult to work on and maintain so they tend to be un-reliable. There may be a few front engine ones but I have only seen mid engine ones and if I'm gonna live in it and use it I want something reliable and easy to service.

wow- never seen this before; I've seen regular school buses and one city bus converted, but this is the first bendy bus! Awesome job; it looks great inside! Love the idea of having a real toilet, as opposed to one of those earthy ones that uses sawdust- lol. So many clever uses of the space, just amazing! Saw this featured on Tiny House Talk... I used to drive those for the Toronto Transit system. Much easier to drive because of the shorter front section wheel base. In the Canadian winter, they Sucked because the engine was over the first set of duel wheels and the back end jackknifed real easy. Great for a mobile home in a warm dry climate.

Very nice and roomy! only thing is with that much space I would need a more comfortable cozy lounge area and a little more space in the bathroom but that's just what I like and we are all different!
@dallasgir5 жыл бұрын
I agree. I understand keeping the bus benches as a bit of authenticity, but with so much detail to a large kitchen for gatherings, I would also make the living area more comfortable to spend evenings relaxing on a comfy sofa. I'd also make an additional sitting area over the opposite wheel well. I'm amazed at the kitchen and that you can carry enough water to operate a dishwasher! The office and bedroom are incredible as well, so I also personally felt the living area was neglected.

This is a really cool conversion, not only in the aesthetics but also in the function. It feels like it was designed for living and not for travel, which is an interesting departure from most coaches, and really shows a different design path which really worked out. I also really like the windows, while you have to open them to have a massive view, it looks like you can see out of them while standing and they let a lot of light in while keeping your privacy. I also really like the bed placement, and that you did a full, king size bed. You really got the light and airy design down, and it still feels very functional. Very nicely done! :-)

Omg this is beautiful!!!! And for everyone that’s saying there’s so much wasted space...stop complaining u have room to add things that u want and if u ain’t gonna buy it no way so stop complaining! That bus is a work of art. I’m wanting to buy a bus and do all the work but I’m currently remodeling a house right now but the time will come! And I’ve watched 1000s of videos on tiny homes, campers, and buses and this one is by far the best one I have seen. I have a child so I would add a little room for him probably where some of the seats are and the cupboards are. But anything can be changed people!!!! Remember that!!! He had a vision and he made it look like his vision. Nothing is permanent in life. Why do people have to be so negative? But anyways great job man!!! This seriously needs to be on a tiny home tv series!!!!

Super cool vehicle. Gotta say though all those windows that you can see precisely nothing out of, especially when sitting down, are pretty silly. Might as well be in a random flat in anywhere-ville at that point.

But if you don't want much dust/wind entering? I would've installed some electric curtains.

@Hakes a Beta male Yeah that whole looking through glass thing while protected from the elements is for chumps.

It's gorgeous, but looks very spartan. It's your bus and you make it the way you want it.

Very nice job you did. For some of the comments about things moving around when you travel, most people who travel in RV's put everything away and empty the trash before they take off.

Brilliant! We hated those buses in London, but you have made an artwork. I love how the 'bend' effectively makes two residences - live/sleep. Of course, we would all make changes. Why the frosted window at the study? Top job.
