Here is the recipe for bengali nolen gurer payesh. Its a bengali version of kheer or payasam and is a must for every sweet lover during winter season. Its prepared using the seasonal date plam jaggery which has a very unique aroma and flavor.
Ingredients:-
Milk - 1 litre
bayleaf (tej patta) - 1
cardamom - 4-5 pods
govindabhog rice - 4 tablespoons or 60 grams
nolen / patali gur - 1 cup or 200 grams
chopped nuts and raisins - handful
