Valid point. Honestly I never understood the reason why anyone would drop 50-80k plus on a truck for a daily commute driver.. I see dudes that work part time at my work driving F-250s and 2500s and don’t use it for anything else. These trucks are made to haul stuff and work. They’re not show boats unless you’re stupid rich and and can afford it but for some joe.. it’s an overkill.. they’re gorgeous but damn the finances behind it for a normal person working one job with one stream of income literally pissing money away..

@@johnappleseed9290 in a good note they retain their value like crazy. Look at the market right now used Duramax, powerstroke or cummins 2015 up with over 100k miles are selling for $60k+ !!!

Then add the technology package you will have all of the gauges digital except for the speedometer and RPM one and have a heads up display you don't want everything Digital cause if a sensors fails boom pitch black 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️☝️

@@coffeebeans7912 that's funny! Ford and Dodge Ram have tons of plastic. And Ford went with aluminum bodies while GM/Chevy is all steel. I'll stick with GM.

If needing a truck for work, would it not make sense to purchase new? How much is downtime/missed work from repairs?

@@motownmaniac43 I agree with you... It seems like a sham.. cept when you look at what used diesel trucks are going for. The shortage (whether on purpose or not, maybe a combination) seems to be here for a while. GM is already talking about ("maybe") raising prices for next year. It's almost as crazy as people still wearing masks and thinking the jabs do anything.

@@MrTrevorDidier I will agree, when it comes to the 2500/3500s. They’re a lot harder to find used. People say they don’t want a “used” vehicle but as soon as they drive a new one off the lot, it becomes used so always best to try and find a good used one for 10+ grand less. No one will ever become wealthy with debt and vehicle payments are the worst. Never invest in a depreciating asset.

@@motownmaniac43 you may want to take a look at the current new vs used vehicle market. High quality low mileage used vehicles are selling for more than comparable new vehicles.

Nah, they take care of their customers. I have a 2016 w/ diesel that had a DEF pump issue - they fixed it no problem. No different than any other manufacturer.
