Benidorm is located on the Costa Blanca, Spain. Famous for it's beaches, bars, restaurants, nightlife, entertainment, hotels, sightseeing, party atmosphere, excursions, tours and sun. In benidorm as I watch this. 4th time here, place is brilliant. Staying in Sandos Monaco, wonderful , and no fighting for sun beds either, plenty of space. 👍

Thanks again Lucy. I don’t even think most of the rules imposed in some areas are even that oppressive. Go on on holiday, have a great time, respect the local rules and people, don’t get falling down drunk and don’t blow smoke in peoples faces. As for the headlines, it is what papers and the social media do. Videos like this always shine s light on the truth of the matter.

I seem to remember back in the day some Spanish resorts did ban people walking around in bikinis off the beach and bars asked them to cover up, its easy enough to tie a sarong around you or slip a beach dress on.

Another great video Lucy, thank you. I could imagine 6 drinks a day in Benidorm, I think there would be a munity to be honest. Some of those headlines are laughable and I think the newspapers must be desperate to sell papers if they print this rubbish.

Hola desde Campello, I know this doesn't have anything to do with your video .......... quick question, are there any beaches in your area where dogs are allowed??? We do have one here, but the neighbours in that area seem to think the beach belongs to them!!! They put down meat with poison and sausages with nails in them. So I 'm willing to go anywhere but here. Hope to hear from you with a possible response, hasta luego.

Thanks Lucy another fab video keeping everyone up to date a few years ago in the old town chippy Rays I was asked to cover up or couldn't get served I had a tankini top on and skirt I did challenge but unfortunately didn't get served as they said to put a T-shirt on so we went elsewhere so we avoid that place there's loads more places to eat there loss anyway on that note hopefully we'll bump into you September 😊

Off topic, I can't find any info regarding bus travel. We came in July and used the number 10 bus paying 1.60 a journey. I believe if you buy a card ( 2 euros) for 10 euros then every journey is 70 c. Is this true? We are returning again this year in October

re: AI drinks limit, couple of years back we stayed in H-top hotel in Calella, you had a room card you used at the bar only 1 drink per card, there was 4 of us so 1st night went to the bar (20-30 minute wait in queue all night) to be told you can only use 1 card per person not as in our case 4 cards for 4 drinks, spent most of the time queuing at the bar then at 11pm drinks had to be paid for so really unofficial drinks limit.

My thoughts on the 6 drink limit imposed in the Balearic (certain regions only) in All Inclusive hotels will possibly encourage families and/or couples to return, if they've been previously put off by the "party goers". But, I understand that when the drinks become "paid for" after the limit has been met - some hotels are offering them at lower prices. Otherwise, I feel all this will do will send those who wish to full on party during their holidays - to choose other hotels and/or destinations that aren't All Inclusive. Either way, these popular areas will still experience noisy party people returning in the early hours of the morning - it won't change anything there. Better to advertise as Young & Lively.... Whatever happened to Club 18 - 30, I wonder?

I hate people who sit half naked on terraces or in restaurants. It doesn't show decency. So I wouldn't want to eat there and I understand very well if restaurateurs have rules for that. Swimwear is for the beach and not for restaurants or bars.

This is more about walking the streets still in swimwear, i agree with you when it comes to restaurants. Bars that don't do food well thats a tough o e as let's be honest and I'm gonna sound really old now but some 'partywear' i see people wearing nowadays looks more like underwear/swimwear anyway.

I remember been on holiday in spain think it was benidorm and i got on a local bus with my top half bikini showing, the bus driver told me i had to put a t shirt ? I was only 14 i was never fined though and he lete off but I'd never do it again on public transport 😂

Hi Lucy, Great video, thanks. The first time I came to Spain was in the days of Franco. It used to be an imprisionable offence to not be totally covered up unless you were on the beach. We never got nicked but we were confronted by the Guardia Civil who held us until we got fully dressed. I don't see anything wrong with that as long as everyone knows the rules. A big fat, bare sweaty body is not the nicest thing to look at.

Thanks, Lucy, I will not be going to any of the Balearic Islands as I feel that they don't want the Brits there anymore and imposing too many rules is a good way of stopping us Brits from going there.
