Lockyer won games on skill and thought didnt need to be escentric to make a good play he would think 2 or even 3 plays ahead. I haven ever seen Lockyer lose a game on a chance play where as Benji has. Benji is a good player but he isnt in the class of Lockyer if i had the choice of signing either Lockyer or benji i know who id sign and it wouldnt be benji. Lockyer will go down as one of if not the best player of all time

Bugger off. Lockyer was the best to watch because of some of the amazing moments he had. The intercept try to win the 2006 State of Origin. The field goal in the semi final against the Dragons in 2011. He always kept his composure whereas a lot of players lose their nerve and choke. Locky is close to the best player to play rugby league along side King Wally and Artie Beetson and other legends.

impressive and entertaining is good to watch but what every fan wants is consistancy and thats what Lockyer has over all players he played the same way every week you dont play 17 years and be the best in 2 positions for nothing. Lockyer is better than benji as for all his magic hes not consistant enough

No what every fan wants is an entertainer..... We don't like Slater, Hayne, Barba, Inglis, and the rest for their consistency. We watch them because they pull of some of the most freakish plays! Sure Lockyer was consistent week in week out, but the games were so BORING
