For everyone complaining about the style, this style is true middle eastern. They were going for a more arabic feel. since it is an arabic city. The blue is representing the palm since it's your view. The whole vibe is supposed to be classy and try to arabic style.

Spent part of my Honeymoon here,4 nights: Stayed in The Panaramic Suite. You truly have to be there in person to appreciate it. I could go through the price of everything (my wife's gold flake cocktail 🍸 for example 110 euro, our last meal 540 euro in The Al Mahara restaurant), but it was 10 k all in and worth every penny. Those cherished memories I will always have with for the rest of my life; and that to me is priceless.

I'm actually in love with the interior, everything about the colour scheme and pattern choice is so tasteful and has tons of character. I'm so glad they didn't make it some boring ass contemporary design.

This hotel is a 5🌟 (the highest official hotel ranking). There is no such thing as a 6* or much less a 7* hotel in the world. It has been erroneously described as "the world's only 'seven-star' hotel", the hotel management claims never to have done that themselves.

@@marcotreccani2794 exactly, these so called 7* hotels are many times claimed by journalists. A journalist cannot classify the stars of a hotel, they can say what they want, but officially there is nothing higher than 5*, except for a "5* Superior" or a "5* GL".

In 2009 I stayed at Mina a Salam, a Hotel right next to Burj al Arab. When you stay there you have full access to Burj al Arab. I went there for dinner several times.

Been there too but I didn't stay for the night, only ordered mineral water in their restaurant 🤣 It was only $10 thought so it wasn't crazy overpriced. Staff was very professional despite me wearing backpackers clothes etc

so I would never ever spend this much on a hotel, but tbh considering how nice it is, I was actually surprised that it wasn't a lot more expensive

There’s no fresh flowers in the room so this technically isn’t even 5 star haha. Seriously tho I’m not impressed just looks like a standard penthouse but covered in unnecessary gold 🥴

A fantastic place to visit! I stayed at the jumeirah beach club but had drinks in the sky bar and dinner in the basement. You’re quite right when you say you actually have to be there to appreciate just how opulent it is.
