Just sucks to see after Bennett having a whinge (while his team does the same thing), Penrith were called out on it in the first set of the game, whereas have you heard a ref say it to any other team? it's so damn inconsistent. We still deserved to lose though, we just couldn't adapt.

Games in the mind are always Bennies thing, splits their team up with uncertainties before the game even starts. He’s always got someone or two in hospital or injured or uncertain right up to the hour before kickoff. It’s all so the opposition is confused and not working out a rigid plan.

@@weburnitatbothends In reflection the "360" show is badly missing the League intellect of Ben Iken. Yvonne is a good presenter and nice person etc but she lacks real League nous plus unlike Iken she has no control or intelligent imput at all over the journos with their hidden agendas etc whose League expertise is certainly no better(likely worse) than the average fan. The show has lost substance basically becoming a soap opera.

Kent is trying to defend Cleary by saying Bennett got to the referees? The blockers have been getting away with cheating all year. Cheating isn't allowed. Cleary''s pissed that the refs are giving his players notice before they get penalized? So the best halfback in the comp cant get a kick away without having 3 forwards obstructing? Ivans protecting his little boy, he looked like a sore loser.

Penrith will win, just not the premiership. The storm will. I cant see Penrith beating the storm after last week. They needed the week of to have any chance at all. Melbourne are just far too stacked. And as for parramatta they are Notorious at choking. I wouldn’t bet my house on them. (I hope that ages well 😂)

Every coach has the right to question the ref and what their interpretation of the rules are. How is that in anyway influencing the ref, if the ref has already his own interpretation of the rule? The fact that he asked a player from the start does not mean he has been influenced, it means he's aware of what they are doing. Which is what every coach is doing pushing the rules to the absolute limit. Cleary playing the victim because now every ref is aware of how far they are pushing the rules, and more importantly which rule. Which begs the question, just how much it played in them making the Playoffs? Ivans mad that those plays are now under the spotlight.

Yep, If it means the rules are being enforced consistently, then it is better for the game and fairness abounds for all teams..... Sutton has a habit of failing to correct himself in the rules he is obligated to enforce... If he misses something, and then puts his own performance under the microscope, which Refs do when they go over the game at a later time, he does not correct himself. It's like a player who drops the ball, has poor ball security, gives away a penalty or all of the above, every game... And doesn't correct himself! My one bone with Sutton is, He allows one team to lay on the tackled player longer than the other... And makes the other team get off quicker!!!!!!

Exactly the plays that he had his players pushing the boundaries of the rules are now in the spotlight, which means every other team and ref knows what to look for. Hence my question, just how much did that come into them being in the position they are on the ladder of the comp.

Panthers coach is scared and complaining about things which everyone always complains about ruling of the refs. Bennett is more experience in the game then majority of many people in the game. Hes coached more teams, been in finals more then Cleary and his team has. He understands how the game management is evolving. For Cleary to be rattled like that just shows where their minds were at. Bennett maybe quiet but his experience comes when its needed....

Ivan asked the refs to watch out for late contact on his son & during the game , they get a penalty for a soft challenge on Cleary after he kicks the ball yet he comes out AFTER they lose & claims that coaches shouldn’t be able to manipulate refs when he did EXACTLY the same thing 🤦🏾‍♂️

He agrees and disagrees so much and then ends it with conjecture all the time to prove his point! Another one is, "oh yeah they all do it... But what I'm saying is..." Just went to watch the round 23 game to see if I could see what he was talking about, very first play there is 2 players offside and one of them instantly changes his line and tries to shoulder barge the marker off cleary. Pretty easy to see why he wanted it questioned. Went back to watch a bit more and the very next 5th tackle kick from cleary the guy blocking for him runs infront of the marker for a good meter or 2 to stop him. It's strange that Ivan thinks there was something wrong with wayne pointing out blatant shepparding to the refs, guess he's mad someone's put an end to this tactic he's been using all year to keep markers off Nathan he's lucky he wasn't pulled up sooner

@@peterboyd7304 was the same with the roosters game, that field goal kick should have been called a penalty to GC. They were in front of the dummy half and directly effected the defenders ability to get to the play. If they are going to set up blocks if you look at the same game with the bunnies panthers round 23, the bunnies 2nd or 3rd kick they set up a block but he is in an onside position. The part he trys to move his line a bit needs to be looked at i guess but that is a legal block play. the defender has a chance to run past him.

Ivan is trying to protect his untouchable baby that no player should come near Nathan while he is kicking. Mind you with his connection with the referees he has managed panthers favours very well. Just do an analysis, how many 6 again Panthers have gained as opposed to any other NRL team. Panthers have been receiving special protection from the referees.

It's so weird how they all discuss this without mentioning that it shouldn't be allowed in the first place, by any team. They justify it cause every team does it, but it should rightly be stamped out because it borders on foul play. In this instance, Bennett is actually helping the integrity of the sport, not just his team.

In general in sports young teams get support and attention as they represent the future of the game. In NRL the situation is different all what the young panthers got is jealousy and hatred. Last year the retiring super grub was more experienced, this year they couldn't beat the rusty dusty master. Next year they can't compete with the Queenslander Broncos spirit. The funny thing always Sutton is involved. NRL is a dead game no wonder AFL is taking over.

Does anyone see it for what it is?? It was personal for Cleary cause it was about his son. Nothing more, nothing less, if it was anyone else it wouldn't have got under his skin.
