I’m just learning this, and I’m saddened for a few reasons.. I keep up with all my favorite artist, June 29th is my birthday, he did not live far from me, (I never got to meet him), and weird as it sounds, on my birthday I took a trip to the grocery store playing a live video of the song.. As I got further into the store the video froze. I moved backwards towards the front to get signal, and it still would not play.. I finally restarted it in the parking lot and birthday calls resumed.. Tonight was the night I remembered to watch the performance, which led me here.. To click on this and hear him say “This is the last time I will sing Into The Night shook my core.. Thank you for posting.. R.I.P. Sir🙏❤️🙏 🎼🙌🎼

It was a true heartfelt request from a musician to his audience about not just him but his love of music and what he tryed to share with everyone. As a musician myself I totally understand what he was feeling.

This song, and when it came out was one of my all time favorites, for the inspiration, the sound, etc. I remember listening to the whole album tape (Never Run, Never Hide) over and over again. I was also sad to hear that another favorite music legend had passed. I have of course heard the story behind the song - are you that girl? ...If so, I don't think he could ever forget you. I mean he was obviously a great and talented singer / musician, but the song and possibly the incident, I believe is what skyrocketed him into the limelight to ignite his career. Perhaps we need those challenges in life, and to be able to find the silver lining behind the problems? God Bless.
