Have you heard, 'Into the Night'? Sadly, Benny passed away yesterday.

He should have been WAY more famous, for more than just Into The Night. I didn't even recognize his name when I heard he passed away the other day. All these years I loved that song and never knew who sang it. So now I'm digging in and loving what I'm finding...better late than never.

I heard BJ Thomas sing it once on uTube, and it didn’t do anything for me; but when I found that a guy named Benny Mardones was the one who sang “Into the Night”, I looked up his other songs and played some of them to see if I liked any of them. To make a long story shorter, I listened to as many as I had time for, and then finally came upon a this one. I hate to say this because I usually really like BK’s songs, but his version of Oh Me Oh My was rather dull and boring. That’s why, when I saw that title by Benny, I just had to find out if his was a dullaby” as well. To tell you the truth, their same song was as different as day and night! I couldn’t even tell that they were the same song! Ever since I heard it, I had to play it at least twice a day and once before bed. I know every syllable every note every word every fluctuation in his voice… I could probably lip sync it exceptionally well! I am 69 years old now, and I can’t think of any other song that affected me as strongly as that one. I guess I didn’t make this story shorter after all lol🎵❤️💚💖🎶

Lo encontró y se conocieron. Se comunicaban por carta entre ellos y a la familia de Chile. Su madre le dijo que el papá había muerto pero él se enteró que era mentira y lo buscó. Lo bueno es que recuperaron su lazo familiar. Y Benny quería venir a Chile. Decía que sentía la necesidad de saber de donde eran sus orígenes o algo así. Pero no alcanzó a viajar porque trascendió. Ya tendrá tiempo. La muerte no existe.
