Nice review there, Jay. I have one of these arriving tomorrow. It looks like an overwhelmingly good product. The only thing I don't like is the idea of having to "wake up" the puck controller. I get that they probably implemented this to conserve battery life but it does seem like it could be a bit tedious. A trivial gripe, I know, but one I think is worth mentioning.

Thanks! I hope you are liking it! I use mine all the time and love it. I don't find it a big deal to wake up the puck. Most of the time I leave the light on all day anyway.

@@JasonYadlovski After having it for awhile I agree the wake-up process isn't as bothersome as I worried it might be. Usually just my finger hovering over the off button is enough to wake it up. This light is pricey but it really does make a difference.

I've been using a light bar for about 6 months now. I would definitely recommend using one. Mine is just a blitzwolf one from banggood, but still has LED colour strip at the back for shining onto a wall, and a multi temperature/brightness white-to-yellow light for the front. I use the yellowish light to save my eyes. This BenQ one looks good also 👍

I have the earlier one, I love it, the cord is not an issue and I think I would not have to deal with more batteries, Also I rather like the analogue knob on the puck... anyway whatever you use this type of lighting is brilliant, if I forget to turn it on everything feels wrong, whether its day or night

I agree man you can’t go wrong with either one. They’re both great lights and I’ve had a great experience with them both. I use them all the time and now I would miss it if I didn’t have it. 😁👍

I want to buy this monitor lamp but I'm wondering if it fits to my monitor. I have a Dell U3821DW with a 2300R screen curvature. Based on Benq website, it says that "With the patented clip and an accessory to adjust, ScreenBar Halo also fits the majority of curved monitors between 1000-1800R." I saw in your video that you are using a curved monitor too. Any thoughts? Thank you for the video.

Hi! So I do have this LG widescreen curved monitor: LG 34WN80C-B UltraWide Monitor 34” 21:9 Curved WQHD (3440 x 1440) IPS Display The Halo works great on this monitor and creates no screen glare for me. I do use the extra piece for curved monitors and it pushes the light out just a little bit. That said I used the BenQ ScreenBar plus for a long time and that one does not have the extra piece to push it out and that worked perfectly fine for my monitor too with no glare. I think either light is good. I’ve got a review on the ScreenBar plus too if you want to see it. Hope this helps!

Hi Jason, I have a webcam clipped on the top of my monitor now. Can I clip my webcam on top of the light bar? Thank you and great review as always. 😊

I think it depends on what the clip looks like for your camera. My wife has a web camera and it didn’t fit perfectly on top of the ScreenBar but if you could rotate The camera to the left or right a little bit there’s plenty a room on a big monitor to put it up there.

Hi, anyone know if this will work on the LG45gr95qe? I know they say it works with curve at 1000r, but my monitor is 800r, so wondering if with the curved monitor clip attached if it will be enough to not put light at the top of the monitor

Did you end up getting one? I’m in the same situation and this is the only monitor light with bias lighting I’ve found.

Yessir I actually did, I got one for each of them and it fits good. Just make sure you use the extender they supply with it and it’s perfect

Lol no problem yah I was hesitant n kept trying to find someone with my monitor n this bar but couldn’t so I just said efff if I’ll try one.. worked out perfectly n ordered another for my wife’s matching monitor .. the backlight is just perfect man, I use that every night

@@jjazminTwo 45GR95QE in one house?? That’s pretty cool tbh. There are probably cheaper alternatives, like buying a cheap monitor light and some LED strips for the bias lighting but this things just seems so convenient. Can’t wait for the delivery.

I can't believe it's out of stock! The ScreenBar Plus is just as good and it's a bit cheaper. I think either one is great to have.
