Nice to see you back on the tube Rob, missed your antics mate. I hope you keep them coming with the lambretta series. Im on pause with mine atm, all mechanicals are done, wiring, new lock set, new targalines front and rear, new seat, new casa disc, replacement flywheel cover, head cowl and rear mudguard in carbon. In fact, the only thing i haven't done is paint.

Very easy to over do it and crack the paint, your patience has paid off there. I’ve been holding off replacing my rear shock waiting for the one you have put your name to. On sale soon I hope?

Great job Rob, I've got a similar thing to do with a serveta frame I'm building, I'm sure it will be a sod of a job as well but seeing how well you've got on with your frame has given me a bit of a inspiration. All the best ;)

I it was sprayed hanging up, it may have fell off what it was being hung on.

I think it fair to say we have missed your videos, always a highlight. Any inside info on the new sledgehammer engine ? The new twin looks epic but will cost the price of a car and means a radiator of course.

What a shame that the sprayer treats the frame like that, at such a cost, not very professional, did you contact the sprayer to let them know? Another entertaining video hope you and the family are well 😊

If you have to do this again, there is an easier way. Get yourself a door frame fitting tool, basically 2 pipes slotted into each other that you can Jack out using the fitted handle / pump. The feet are fitted with rubber protected feet so they wont scratch your paint. Put one foot end against the rear legshield frame strut, the other end on the edge of the rear frame, against the gutter for the sidepanel. Jack it out beyond where it needs to be, remove the door frame Jack and the metal should spring back into its original form. If it doesnt, youve jacked it out to far but its easier to push back in. Repeat on the other side of the frame if you need to. Using a door frame jack you wont need to strap the frame down and keep removing straps or boxes before checking each time. Cutting the rubber down to fit indicates that the frame still isnt right, you might have problems with your panels when you ride the scooter, Id bet that they will pop off at the front because the handle will keep them on at the rear. You know you should do it again really.

Ha that’s nothing, my series 2 was hit by a car in a 4 vehicle pile up whilst parked outside my house. Frame hit on rear left side and is probably 2 inches out of line. Claimed £7.5k for replacement frame and resto and after 18ms it was paid out . Kept the cash to pay the heating bill & now riding daily round London on a twisted no panel S2.

Does a rear mudguard not spring back like a frame does?

I don't think its your body guy,dropping it,I reckon it was stored in transit up on its rear end,hit a big bump/wave,bent,then you took the mudguard off and it sprung back out,because of its shape,but your rear end didn't.
