This microwave-safe bento box holds up to 5 cups of food, so it’s 2 times bigger than our popular Bentgo Kids Lunch Box! "We have owned a number of the Bentgo Kids lunchboxes and decided it was time to upgrade. As we have been super happy with this brand for the kids' boxes, we decided to stick with Bentgo.
In terms of size, from the outside, the boxes are almost identical (in my picture, the Kids' box is the light blue one with dark blue trim). To be exact, the Bentgo Pop box measures 9.4” x 7.1” x 2.4”, whereas the kids' box measures 8.5” x 6.5” x 2”.
Once you open the boxes, you notice that the compartments of the Bentgo Pop lunchbox are much roomier. There are four compartments to hold food, although there is a removable divider on the right that can be used to adjust the box to your preference.
The total capacity of the box is about 5.1 cups, which is twice as much as that of the kids' box. The box is easy to clean, as you simply pop out the bottom tray. The trays are both microwave and dishwasher safe. With our previous Bentgo box, we always made sure to wash the outside component by hand to retain the rubber strip that prevents leaks.
Unlike the Bentgo kids box, the lid of this one does not lay flat. Not a big problem, but will take a few days to get used to. Overall, I am super happy with this box and it was the perfect upgrade for us. These lunchboxes are a bit on the pricier side, but given the quality and design, they are absolutely worth it."
