I find it odd that most reviews never speak about the engine being a push-rod motor?

@radar3699 Sorry. I get ahead of myself at times. I didn't mean gold BBS wheels should be on the Mulsanne. I don't think the design of the wheel would go with the car regardless of color. However I still feel, as the other guy does, that the car needs something more on the wheels and some chrome, nickel, or polished metal accents, and not that much, would be helpful. As it is, the design looks like it has "empty spaces were the wheels should be".

@radar3699 whats wrong with you other Bentley cars came with chrome wheels such as the arnage the gt and the brooklands

Does the Mulsanne have a sunroof as an optional feature ?

Nice review, too bad there aren't any drfits as I saw on the Rolls Ghost test

I agree with comments on the weird drooping lights. Cabin looks great to chill and smoke some herbs though

@AndrewParkerTV You think so?! Style is certainly subjective, but I think its much younger looking than the S-Class and more chic than the 7. Of course, there is the XJ, but here in the states it is only available with the 5.0; you can't get anything with sensible mileage like the A8's (albeit slower) 4.2. Besides, in the states (VERY unlike the UK) Jags have a tremendous reputation for being a very old-person's car (XF not included, but they're almost non-existent compared to E's and A6's)

I have saw all 3 super limo's on streets: Ghost, Phantom and Mulsanne. I think RR are lost their magic, but this' got the future, although Brooklands looks nicer, but I'd still go for this Bentley! ♥ Nice review :)

I live in Vancouver, BC, which is something of a car town. I see at least 1 Rolls Royce phantom or ghost per week, but have yet to see a single Mulsanne on the road. I see tons of Continental GTs, did Bentley actually make any Mulsannes?

@AndrewParkerTV phantom is no BMW it has its own platform and its own factory. ghost has 7 series platform so its a bit BMW.

@LongboardBC The Phantom needs to be replaced or at least updated after almost 9 years on the market. It's getting a bit long in the tooth. I think the Ghost is a brilliant car and it's about time the big brother gets proper upgrades as well.

i like it. looks apart from anything on the road. i like that. if you drive that, people will know you've made it very big.

@radar3699 He said as much. We had a car with a perfect set or wheels. A Black 1984 Lincoln Mark VII LSC with the most tasteful chrome, polished metal, and gold letter package. The Wheels were BBS gold painted wheels with chrome accents. To me, these were the most perfect wheels ever. They were/are very popular, mainly for sports cars and sporty luxury cars. Few cars could pull them off then. Fewer can now.

Just a gorgeous car and it exudes power. The exhaust note is irrelevant because when the windows are up you can't hear anything anyway.

@plaidzincs I don't understand your comment. Though built in England by English workers, this company is owned by the Volkswagen Group, who ultimately have the final say on what goes on at Bentley. Also, the current Chairman and CEO of Bentley is German. All of this information is easily attainable on the internet. Your comment that it has nothing to do with VW is incorrect. But then, some things just boil down to semantics.

The interior for the driver is better then the Phantom, but the Mulsanne just doesn't have the same sheer presence that a person has made it to the top that a RR Phantom gives.

Okay, I know the Rolls Royce is probably a better car overall, but this Bentley has retained all of the elegance and grace that RR/Bentley motorcars have been noted for since 1905. The Rolls Royce Ghost and Phantom models however, now simply resemble a brick with strange slits on the front end for headlamps and a range of wheels more suited to a Ford Mondeo. Alas though, however elegant the shape is Bentley, do we really have to see it in every model including the EXP 9 F?

Mulsanne vs. Phantom.....? i choose....my old 1992 325i with 265,00 miles and faded ass paint. Its probably worth $500 but runs good, no leaks, good suspension, tires, brakes, a/c, maintenance, and a rad super glue stain in the rear seat.

It is clear that this was an impressive effort, to bring this car to being. I applaud Bentley/VW for that. The problem is-the car is nothing impressive to look at. At this price I would want something more commanding. Neither this nor the Ghost is that. But the interior is very very beautiful. Those who are responsible should be commended.

now lets have a drag race between it and a phantom

@sportfuryman Okay well as much as I love Top Gear, I'm using some common sense here. Drag racing those two would just be stupid and wouldn't prove anything. You have different tests for different cars. And another thing, those cars are about pulling power and smooth torque, not blast off the line acceleration. No need to climb off your high horse and reply by the way.

@default919 Whats wrong with you? This is a bentley mulsanne, why would you put chrome wheels on it? Thats like putting Lamborghini exhausts on a Rolls Royce.

It's by far my favourite Bentley. That said, the rear is ruined for me thanks to the Chrysler 300c.

I do not think it is odd at all. If you are a wealthy elderly gentleman/woman, and love cars, will you buy a ferrari? I think not, because you will look strange, you will want a fast, luxurious and good looking cruiser. Hello Mulsanne

This is not a limousine!! It's just a regular 4 door sedan. RR also refers to the Phantom as a limousine! RR have not built a limousine since the mid nineties!!

Such a bad review by her.Matt Watson would have been much better if he reviewed this car.
