I just got this from the Amazon link the you provided. It will get a workout this weekend. So far it is best cabinet handle jig out of the dozens of commercial and home made jigs I have ever used. I watched several videos. Yours was the best. Thank you. I finally understand how to adjust the jig. Nobody was explaining what you measure on the cupboard doors or drawers. They only discussed the handle measurements, which was the only part that was a no brainer. Of course i got a different jig, similar, but didn't come with instructions. I noticed on reviews everyone is complaining. But, because of you i don't have to return. I appreciate your knowledge. I was skeptical how long your videos was, but im so glad i watched it. Thx! Great job being thorough!

I built a 6' tall in-wall cabinet and used the jig for shelf pins. It came out perfect. Just can't say enough good to say how great this tool is.

Finally! A video that was so thorough with actual demonstration. Some had the set up and some showed doing the holes but you went through everything and now I am going to install handles on my new kitchen. After using packing tape handles for 2 months. LOL. I have a knockoff and was searching for a tutorial. This was perfect. Thank you!

I grow to love your channel more and more with videos like this one. I'm taking my first shot at a bit more professional quality base cabinets and uppers for my garage to replace my first attempt cabinets from a few years back. Drawer slides and cabinet pulls are a headache. With a tool like this building cabinets becomes more fun. Without your demonstration I wouldn't have known about tools like this or would have skipped by it. Thanks a bunch for sharing and all of your clear explanations and demonstrations.

I appreciate the knowledge and the time you put into your videos. Your videos are priceless. I have a knock off that’s looks identical to this one, but it came with no instructions. It’s easy to figure out but I wasn’t about to try it on the new cabinets until I checked out your channel. Ive subscribed to your channel for several years now and I found this video and once again you saved the day.

I have a friend that does a ton of cabinet hardware installs and he has two of the 1935's. Personally, I have the Kreg jig one and have set up my drill press with stops for the doors when they are not installed yet. But I do help my friend a bit and have borrowed his 1935 a few times for family projects. It really makes things move really fast and if you are a cabinet maker I would highly recommend it. For the average DIYer who just does a few hardware installs every now and then I would get something like a Kreg jig. Hardware installation used to give me the creeps because if I am off by a little it means I could have ruined something. With a jig I am off and running. A lot less stress for me. That's probably why I have a ton of jigs around :-) Thanks for the demo.

I used the True Position for the first time yesterday. It worked great. The price reflects the fact that it's made in the US and not China. I'm wrestling with the idea of laying out $299 for a killer jig set vs $30 or so for Chinese made crap. It's not something I use very often but it kills me to buy any tool made in China. If at all possible I buy US made products, like my new Minnesota-made Redwing boots. :-)

They sell some really useful woodworking tools for measuring etc at a crazy low price. So far the quality has been good too. Thanks again from London, England.

I just bought the copy from Amazon, as soon as you tighten down the adjustable sliding depth it is 1/16th out, not defective just a bad china knockoff. Spent 3 hours playing with it not to mention hand was cut twice from the sharp edges. I think their is a reason the copy sells for 32.00 in stead of 189.00. Buyers be where on china copies from Amazon

@@bruceyeremian9036 I noticed theres 2 separate lines on that slider depth piece. If u line up 1 line, 1 side, and not the line on the other side, (same piece) it will be off. Lining up 1 line, 1 side, does not do the other side accurately. Its close but its off. Did you notice two separate lines on the slider? So i had to push 1 corner over after i tightened 1 side down to a line. I have same knockoff its def built cheap. But if u watch both lines on that 1pc, you won't have to cut yourself ever again. I hope you understand what im saying. Without this its a 1/4" off, well almost 1/4". A little under...

It wasn’t to bad at all. I mean there is a little but you could remedy that with a block on the back side or tape would probably help. I installed a couple of the handles to test alignment and the screw head covered it.

Not sure if it has been updated recently (purchased over the weekend), but the one I purchased came with two epoxy coated thumb screws that you can adjust to match the recess. The are mounted to the rear of the bushing.

What happens if the screw is smaller then the pilot hole? The drilled hole would be larger then the screw I'm using, what does one do in this case?

To find the center of the handle, mount the handle to the slide brackets, then side until both measurements are the same, tighten screws. You don't need to know the exact measurements of the handle divided by two.

Interesting although it wouldn't be for me as an amateur woodworker. I saw on their website that it is made from aluminum and has hardened bushings for the drill holes. Will the setscrews mark the bar after a lot of uses?

Part of my daily job IS installing cabinet hardware. I can easily say with confidence that I installed over 5000 individual pieces in a years time. I deal with adjusting for different depth drawers, pulls, knobs etc constantly. Although it maybe acurate there are many other brands just as acurate for a quarter of the price and way easier to configure. Coming from a person who for the past decade has done this for a living, this is NOT worth the price

You can still get a little blow out but I have found it to be minimal or I hold a block on the backside

Its only good when using stop block. When using centar line ,the drill bit always pulls it one side.

Looks like an awesome jig. I did the hardware in my old house with just a super cheapo template from home Depot and it was honestly so easy that I can't imagine ever spending $189+ for this. That being said... If it was given to me I would use it lol

They can be used to drill your hinge plate holes locations

@@bentswoodworking I thought it might be. I thought the hole that is sitting at the zero mark could be used to mark where you want the centre of the hinge to be. I also checked the price for this on Amazon (in Canada) and the TP1934 is $289 and the TP1925 is $399. Time to start saving :)

Put the screws through the holes. Screw into the handle. Now you are absolute. Make your adjustment for position and start drilling. Never measure when you have a perfect template you can use for calibration.

problem is a guy like me, I set new manufactured homes, do all the drywall, finish work, doors, siding, you name it. I have to make these homes look like they didn't travel 500 miles and get towed down mountain roads... I rarely have a job where I need to install all the cabinets, fronts, and pulls... so drop the money on one of these or measure each one.. wish they had a more affordable or even a DIY model for the guy that doesn't do it every day!

These jigs are worth their weight in gold, but you can get a King & Charles version of the basic tool (TP-1934) for about 1/4 to 1/3rd the cost at ~$50. It is well built out of solid aluminum, looks to be exactly the same jig and has served me well. Steer clear of the cheap plastic versions... too flimsy.

The knockoffs are just as good from my experience - the only reason I'd get this brand is they have the extension for super long handles which the knock offs dont have. Great information though.

over $200 for a tool like this is crazy. Well there's an app for that. The king and charles version of this is only $12 for plastic and $47 for aluminum. Problem solved
