We recently did a quick review of the Beretta Ultraleggero and have subsequently had a questions asking us to elaborate on our point about the gun only really being good for walked-up. In this video we do that and offer up our alternative, the Browning 525 Game 1 Lght. We feel that with the 525 Browning are offering up a a more reounded alternative to the Beretta Ultraleggero.

Excellent video comparing the lightweight Beretta and Browning. I own a Beretta Ultralight and it weighs exactly 6 pounds, 7 ounces. I use it to hunt rabbits, foxes and quail. It is perfect for that. It has never bothered me that it is barrel heavy.

Thank you. As I said in the VLOG, I think the Beretta is an excellent gun for walked up.

I agree with the position you expressed about the feeling - balance. Its obvious ultra leggero is suitable for walked up and thanks for the video. Just one slight objection: 525 light has not a steel receiver, so are the 2 guns suitable for a true comparison? I mean is 525 a true alternative?

Yes it is. The Browning 525 light has an alloy receiver, but it has a steel reinforced breech face. The Beretta Ultraleggero has a skeletonised receiver, with a polyamide base and sides.

I am a Beretta fanboy, but in this case the Browning is the better option!
