Love both of them, as a 725 shooter I do lean Browning, but it’s kind of the same as the old Nikon vs Canon camera wars or Ford vs Chevy, both are great it comes down to the one that fits you and your shorting style. Great video as always!!

I'm the same. I have the Pro Sport and love it. I had a GTS before this one. But I dare say if I'd started out on Beretta's I'd probably have still got one and favour the 694. I like the fact it's heavy, without being too heavy. Feels like I'm always in control of it. I like all the extra kit and adjustable parts that come with it.....that also allows you to tell people it's set up for you so you can't lend it them 😋

I’m relatively new to shooting so I really appreciated the summary you made around the Browning being a more dedicated clay gun than the Beretta, understanding which gun is ‘better’ for which discipline is a nightmare as a newbie?! Haha. Great review! 🙂

Okay, I bought the new 694 from Coles because my family always wants to shoot my 725 Pro. So....After shooting these two side by side at Trap, Sporting Clays and from bench throwers, 🤔🤔 To anyone looking at these two guns I would say you have to get your hands on the 694 first. Personally I think the 694 handles better, swings smother, feels better balanced. It has that really nice Italian styling, and feel that seems more refined than the Browning. Most importantly the Beretta Patterens and dusts clays SO Much Better for me!!! Don’t get me wrong there’s nothing wrong with the Browning 725 Sporting, they work just fine. If you’re budget prevents you from spending the extra $1500 for the 694, then go with the std Browning 725. But going from the 725 Pro to the 694 is only $500 and it’s more than worth the extra cash!!! Hell I’d recommend just saving up for the Beretta 694, if you can. If you’re comparing the 725 to the 686, 687, or 690, I’d go for 725, Even these Berettas are not the in same class as 694!! I’ve shot the 694 side by side with the CG Summit too, and again I pick 694 for shoot ability !!! CG Summit, for warranty and classy looks, but CG’s Summits seem to have more felt recoil to me. My son’s Fabarm Elos Allsport seems to recoil less than and pattern better than most of the guns guns I mentioned. If can afford it and it fits you well, the 694 is awesome for actual Clay smashing!!! There that’s my 2 cents. You gotta try 694!

Nice comparison.KZfaq has allowed us all to be able to hear from highly knowledgeable people in the gun trade who have many years of experience and understand what the fundamentals of a quality firearm are.My criteria for selecting a new firearm is generally governed by its intended use,my budget, quality of build, gun fit & balance, pointability, value for money, brand reputation and warranty(new). Then I consider my cosmetic preferences in relation the quality of the wood, metal finish and engraving.I’ve found that nothing beats doing your own research and visiting a gun shop that carries a variety of brands of the type of firearm your after and physically handling and pointing them.Sometimes you may be lucky enough to have the opportunity to shoot a firearm that has made your short list prior to purchase.Above all, enjoy the journey of selecting your next new/used gun as you’ll be spending a lot of quality time together.Happy hunting!

Johnny I've been on a debate of buying one or the other I shot them both. And it was very hard to make my choice since I've been shooting the 686 S.P. Sporter for a year I decided that I needed to step up a bit for comfort. So this morning I went down to the gun shop and I bought the 694 B-Fast comb 30" barrels let me tell you the wood is astonishing. And the gun handles great. I had a great day on our practice range the 694 performance was spot on. The Browning 725 pro shot well also and yes a bit heavier with 32" barrels it was a clay hog as well. I love my 694 and the people out there have them know what I mean. Johnny this show makes me spend money.

Both guns for the level of pricing are good rather the best ones. Prosport 725 I bought in Greece May 2019 3650 euros is an absolutely full edition with nothing missing and gives me real joy. Anyone can adjust everything on it: Length (2 different packmayer absorbers) Weight Balance (weights for stock and for barells) Trigger (mechanical ie not inertia) x 3, also adjustable in distance and shape 8 chocks super light as titanium made 8 coloured sights Easy smart adjustable stock top with all equipment and tools inclusive Excellent and classy beautiful case. Berretta 694 ofcourse is a beautiful and masterpiece also..I like it.

While i don't have any allegiance to either of these fine makers i can look at both shotguns with an open mind. They are both extremely well put together and i would be proud to own either. It seems that the Browning would be more of a trap gun and the Beretta more of an out and out sporter....maybe.

I know it would be difficult to actually do this but, what I'd like to see in a review is this : "Ok, I've fired 50,000 rounds through this gun, this is how it held up". For example, I thought about getting a Caesar Guerini Maxum but, I hear a lot of people say the stocks crack in many of them after so many rounds.

Hey Howard, you got the point. Why not discuss this after 200.000. Trigger pulls! It is pitty the don't discuss strength of the pivit mechanism of the gun. Nobody is talking about how much pressure the gun can take. Also their behavior differences with larger charges than 24g. It's more commercial talk. Nobody remeasures the barrel twist. Before and after. Sorry. My English is not so good.

I have a Browning 725 Pro Sporting, USA version, and was very disappointed when I first got it, special ordered I hadn’t held it until it arrived. After owning it, shooting it, & dealing with Browning CS for the last year and a half I’ve come to really like it. That said I would never buy it again or recommend someone either. It’s not worth $3500 at all!!! So if you’re in the market for a 725 I recommend just buying them standard sporting version. Then you can add an adjustable comb, if needed, a case, choke case, ect. and save the extra $1000. Also the USA 725 Pro Sporting is NOT the same as the UK version. The US version is basically the same as the std adjustable comb 725, but with cheap laser engraving on the receiver, only stock weights, and a $175 hard case. Not worth the extra $1000 over the std 725 version. If the US had the same Pro Sport as the UK, I would probably feel differently.

Interesting review, my personal thoughts are the Prosport is more comparable to the dt10/11 and the 694 would be closer to either the 725 s or 525 SL. TGS Outdoors.I enjoy your videos, but may I make a suggestion concerning your presentations? Would it be possible for you to take a pro course teaching you how to properly speak so old guys like me can hear what your saying? A voice coach? Your voice continually tapers off to such a low volume at the end of sentences that I don't hear much of what is said when that happens. If the closed captioning would be even remotely close to what you say it would be fine, but it is not. And at times you speak much too fast. It's impossible to try and follow the closed captioning when your spewing out 300 words a minute. The T.V. industry, because it is so much older than KZfaq has pretty much already addressed speech, lighting, pronunciation, micro phone placement and voice projection etc. I'm hoping up and coming KZfaq stars like yourself could maybe put a bit more research and effort into polishing the production details of your videos. Hi, maybe you should starting to include warranty service to your reviews, since Beretta is very very very bad in her service department, they don't respond to emails or phone calls. If you search on web you want find any contacts regarding warranty issues, and most clients complaining about malfunctions wait more than 6 months, if they are lucky people. Run away from Beretta. This opinion is based on my one experience with Beretta.

The Browning Prosport is a better skeet & Trap gun. The video has such a SC bias. The Browning is a calculated gun, a chunky statement for the dedicated clay gun where repetition and perfection is a must! The the Beretta is a far more versatile gun where you can shoot anything, specifically sporting which lends itself to the true definition of “anything”. Well, to give yourself the best chance at running a 100 straight in skeet or trap you need that dedicated clay gun, one that performs effortlessly while doing the same thing over and over again. In sporting where targets are going in multiple different directions you need a gun that is far more versatile, which usually means a profoundly lighter gun and one that can be shouldered quickly. Yes, similar to a hunting gun, only a little fancier. JMHO

Honestly, slow down, you have a tendency of mumbling really fast when mentioning something, don't understand a word you're saying! You mention an alternative and all i heard was a muffled sound.

The 725 will outlast that 'pasta smasher' by a long time, since they made them in Turkey the ribs are 1st thing to go, give it 5K or so cartridges and it'll be as loose as a farmyard gate , I've heard of 3 in the last 6 months all with loose rib problems

Well that that will definitely “dumb it down”. Sorry, not sorry, it is just what it is. Globalization is a terrible thing.

There is none to be made! If you want a beast that will be restrictive outside of sporting, buy a pro sport. If you want something more versatile buy the 694
