Hi You mentioned the blind being unfastened at the top and being rolled towards the bottom of the window. My thinking is that the top half can be unclipped allowing light in,, but maintaining privacy. Just a thought

Thanks for this video. I just bought this tent and this has helped me feel confident to put it up. Do you have any tips for putting it away?
@Snert007
@Snert007 2 жыл бұрын
I do intend to do a video on putting it away. Remove the pegs from the guy ropes, release the air valves and let it collapse. Remove all other pegs. Now you can use the pump set to deflate to suck out the air. Or fold the ten into thirds length ways and roll it up. I use the bag as a guide to see if you have folded it the correct size. Just keep your weight on it and allow the air to escape. It does take a. It if practice. Have fun.

Thanks for the video. Been away it in for the first time and it’s super easy to put up apart from a couple of issues with when pumping up the beams, took a few goes for it not to deflate when taking it out. You mentioned a right way to insert the pump how did you work this out. Thank you.
@Snert007
@Snert007 2 жыл бұрын
The valve in the beams has 2 positions. Contrary to what you would think, you pump up the beams with the valve in the closed position. (The pin sprung out) if you pump it up with the valve open, (The pin pushed in) it let's all the air out when you remove the pump. This applies to all Berghaus air beams. I hope this helps.

I had the same problem. When removing the pump I managed to push the pin back in so deflating it instantly. Also the hook end that attaches to the valve came unattached from the hose, also causing instant deflation. I managed it in the end (after about half an hour of trying) but wondering what i was doing wrong and don't want this if it's raining another time. Maybe just practice...

Great video. Any experience of use in windy weather? Contemplating a new tent and just wondering how the air systems compare to poles
@Snert007
@Snert007 2 жыл бұрын
I go camping all year round. The air tent has been up in some very windy weather and had a good battering. I just make sure I have good pegs on the guy ropes. It bends in the wind, but then just springs back. Some of the campsite videos show it in the wind.

this tent is like a bouncy castle. air tents are infinitely better in heavy wind. they just get back up.

What's the best air pressure for the beams as there seems to be a large range from the lowest to highest pressure in the green section?
@Snert007
@Snert007 2 жыл бұрын
If its cold and windy I put them up 7psi.but be careful if it warms up. The pressure will go too high. Just let a bit out. Generally I go in the middle. 6psi.

Thanks for the video. Just picked mine up from Go outdoors yesterday. I've ordered a footprint as well. Looking forward it's first trip to Robin Hood's Bay. You mentioned your fishing bed - what type do you recommend? I'm thinking about a decathlon one, but would welcome your thoughts. Thanks

I actually have 2 fishing beds. One is enormous, very comfy, with a 5 season sleeping system included. It is expensive though. I will be doing a review. It is a Nash Indulgence Emporer. My other bed is a NGT, which is a fold out fishing bed only. It's not bad to sleep on though.

Having just bought this tent, would you recommend a foot print abs what’s the reason for using one? Regards
@Snert007
@Snert007 3 жыл бұрын
Yes I would recommend a footprint. The footprint protects the groundsheet of the tent from stones and sharp objects. It also keeps the tent warmer from the cold ground, especially if you are sleeping on the floor. It also adds to the water protection from the ground. Worth the money.

I’m looking to get an air tent this year. I will only be using in the summer/festival season so wondering about good ventilation, warmth at night and if the doors/windows have mesh to keep insects out. If i need a kip in the day i would like doors and windows open but no insects getting in but I couldn’t see in your video any mesh etc. thanks for video, very informative otherwise. And good to see in real time. I need an easy tent to put up on my own. Also how heavy is it approx. I’m a small person with mobility issues and want something i can lift and carry a very short distance from car which will be next to tent. Does it need much body weight to deflate, I’m small and light.

The large front door and the normal side door have mesh inner doors which you can open or close independently of the outer doors

The tent bag has wheels and a handle at either end, so even though air tents are heavyer, it can be wheeled along quite easily. Putting it up is quite easy on your own. Putting it down takes a bit of practice and patience. I should do a video of Putting it down and back in the bag. It is a more difficult when it's wet trying to get it rolled up.

Do you cook inside the tent? If so what part of the tent do you cook, I want to use electric for cooking.

If the weather is good I cook outside. But I go camping all year round, so sometimes I have to cook inside. I cook near the door with it open at least partly. To allow airflow.

How does this perform in hot weather? Can you lie in at all or does it get too hot?
@Snert007
@Snert007 2 жыл бұрын
To be honest I don't ever get hot weather when I go camping lol. But I imagine if it was hot and sunny. That it would be hot and you'd have to get up. But that's probably the case in any tent.

Has anyone broken the brow pole? I broke mine on the first trip. It felt too tight and i couldn't zip the door up until removed and when I re fitted it it then bent on the weak steel corners. It seemed it was too long. Any help would be appreciated.

I've not broken mine, but have struggled to get it into the velcro catches. Last time I part inflated middle and front beams, put the brow in, zipped the side door and finished inflating the beams. Seemed to be a lot easier

How do you ensure the valves are sprung out
@Snert007
@Snert007 2 жыл бұрын
The valves have 2 positions. Open let's the air out and closed keeps the air in. However the valve needs to be in the closed position to pump up the air beams. Otherwise all the air will come out when you disconnect the pump. Hope that makes sense.
