Another great Boxing Day video Richard. Great to see that the loonies are getting tired of it. We didn't have any at my local hunt here in West Yorkshire either, just a lot of brilliantly turned out riders, some happy hounds a few hundred supporters.

As a Berkeley resident I can confirm we no longer see foxes in and around town since the banning of the hunt. There was once a healthy population that were feed and protected by the group, the local farmers were also paid not to shoot the foxes. The old weaker foxes were genuinely the ones caught by the hunt

whats the reason for the different colour coats?

Dependent on who you are in the hunt, more significant is the number of buttons on the coat, of whatever colour.

I've only seen these hunts in movies or on TV. I didn't realize the hounds were so big! I think I pictured them sort of like Beagles! The horses are beautiful and it is very exciting. I think it's a great tradition now that they don't allow them to kill anything any longer. After the 3 circles through the town, do they head for the countryside or is that it? I went to a steeplechase once and it was so exciting to see. Just love horses!!!!
@pumpkinhead85935 ай бұрын
They still hunt and kill foxes. They say they trail hunt and when they get caught killing they say it was an accident. The ban did little to stop hunting. The Berkley hunt shown here is one of the most notorious for hunting illegally.

I have no objections to Fox Hunting providing they stick to the law, and the Fox is not the Victim and is run raged and ripped to pieces or someones pet Dog or Cat receive the same treatment which begs the question what do they chase !

Nice to see the boxing day hunt. We used to have a great one in Blandford, Dorset. But the few unwashed, unemployable, made enough noise to sadly get it stoped. Miss going down to see all the lovely horses, especially the young riders enjoying the day. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Richard, you cheered me up! Yesterday on the news I saw three reports of Boxing Day Hunts from Tiverton, Lewes & another in Kent. I got very upset not only with the Anti's at the venues but the comments from more Anti's online with the various media stations. Even though there is the ban of killing foxes there will always be a few killed by hounds. No different from your beloved pet dog going after a bunny or squirrel or your cat you have to let outside that will also kill birds etc. I did make one comment that I think you will agree with that there are more foxes killed by traffic than anything else. I am sick of these townies, and I know of one that feeds their residential fox with cake every evening. Not very healthy! There were some anti's that were swearing something horrendous in front of little children and terrified them, the hounds, horses & ponies. Shame on them!!!!!!!!! Again, many thanks for this video.

Well done Richard this was one day in the year I miss most since moving to London family friend meet up with the horses and pony tradition where locals meet for fun day out .this is where horse racing came from, three day eventing ,point to points which is racing from a points in the a field which created race tracks ,all so watch how the hounds respected the master staying close when the whip is cracked they stud to attentions no matter where they were in a field an come back to there master the huntman who takes care of them,the respect they show for there master is astonishing and well controlled look in your video dog walking around so peacefully safe not herrasing anyone with no leads needed on their .I can,t walk park round London where cross breeding dog on leads not been safe as they could attack at any time when you see dog walker walk dogs instead of there owner as they don,t have time to even walk them ,then call themselves dog owner ,, it a shame ,plus the amount food wild in city's is unreal real now ..sorry went off in a rant there .Well done another video.
