a spinning reel can be spooled with this by using the other grove that they have on the right hand side were it mounts for baitcasting simply swivel it so that the arm were the spool is mounted in pointing at you the L shaped grove accommodates for this, just make sure with a spinning reel your spool of line comes onto the reel with the line coming off of the spool over the top to the right hand side of the spool, usually with the label side of the spool facing you, this prevents line twist.

Have one just like it, I like the way it's made and the line stripper comes in handy when changing old line.

Is there a way to get an accurate count of how much line is on the reel? I've been filling my reels and stopping maybe a few centimetes short of the spool rim, no problem thus far but I never know if the spool is underfilled. DO the line counters made from Berkley and Rapala work?

You didn’t show which way the line comes off the spool when filling a spinning reel. Line come from Top or bottom?

What if you put the reel on the other way? So that the handle is on the left side of the spooling station. Does that make a difference or not? (because when fishing, the line would come of the reel in a different way?)

I'm not a guide and I own about 20 rod and reels, each have their own use. I have the line spooler it's ok, the 2 rubber gromments that come with it, still not sure what there for? It does the job

how would you spool up a spinning reel with this unit. just wondering how to hold the spool of line so that it comes off the top of the spool instead of the side of the spool. did you demonstrate that video yet?

No I don't use or own a spinning reel so I don't ever do anything regarding them.

I bought that same spooling rig, everything is pretty much good except the line striper that comes with it it is almost useless, line slips more than it grips.

How do you use the line stripper? It sat in my kitchen drawer for years. Now I know what this item is for. But I don't know how to use it.

I use wooden chopstick, stick in the middle of the spool and hold the spool down with a little pressure with my toes or foot by pushing it down on the floor or ground. making sure it is carpet or grass. anything that would work. i dont advise on a rough coral or rocky area, may tend to wear down your Line Spool.

I think you forgot to show how to do a spinning reel and to keep your spooling line tape as you are setting it up or your line will twist around the spool holders on the unit.

I don't see how this is remotely helpful as a review. A BC can be loaded easily - the replies to request for spinning are nothing short of arrogant.
