According to some commenters, the new version of Quadlock works with wireless charging. I’ll need to test that out! Their cases have been great for me in the past.

I’ve been using quad lock since the iPhone 8. I’ve never had any issues with it not charging wirelessly. I’ve changed my phone every night for years. Plus I like how I can use the circle to center it when I’m using the phone 1 handed. I’m on the 13 pro max, so it’s a chonker.

Strava is not really that useful for mountain bikers. I use it for road rides to track my estimated calories burned, estimated power output, estimated times. A free way to track metrics, if you care about improving your performance. I don't want to spend money on a power meter nor a "health" watch, and i don't even have a strava subscription.

I have the quadlock because it comes with the option for a universal mount and can easily be removed and attached with just one hand. The fidlock and mous cases looked like you'd need two hands to remove them. Is that the case? Quadlock also comes with cases for way more phones than mous does (mous seems to only produce iPhone cases).

In 2011 Adidas bought Five Ten. In 2017 they rolled Five Ten into the Adidas Outdoor Brand. In 2018 Ride Concepts was formed. From the RC "about us" page, they're the outcasts that Adidas thought they could do without. That's why RC shoes address almost every shortcoming of Five Ten.

iPhones have moving lenses in their cameras for the stabilization. Any of these 2 phone mounts can break that mechanism in a rock garden or jumping. I know because it happened to me. Keep your phone in a pocket on you, where your body provides it with better suspension. If you want Trailforks maps and/or ride recording on your handlebar - Garmin Edge is the robust way to go.

Mous phone cases are insanely protective, the fidlock doesn't seem to offer much in terms of protection. Mouse primarily does phone cases, so they know about protection. Good choice Seth 👍 On a second note I have a mous case currently, and it's been great. Quadlock DOES have mounts that work with wireless charging. I use one in my car, along with a wireless charging adapter for my phone that didn't come with wireless charging, and they work great. Definitely check out Peak Designs bike mount and case. The mounting is easy like the Fidlock, but wireless charging compatible and an out front bike mount of the Mous. Super stable, and didn’t budge or fly off when I crashed my bike a few weeks ago. Case is good but not quite perfect, but it has a lot of mount accessories in addition to the bike mount.

Another vote for Peak Design. They also have a strap on mount for the stem/top tube if you don't want your mount out front of the handle bar.

I wear RC Vice shoes almost every day. I have wide feet and they fit perfectly right out of the box.

I just got (back) into MTB and your channel is simply AMAZING! Keep up the great work! Bought the Fidlock bottle for my new bike because I saw you fiddle - no pun intended - with it in this video!

Those rc slides are so cool! I met a ride concept rep at my local bike shop and he gave me a t shirt so that was cool. Hopefully they get those I’ll wear them riding my 29” bmx.

my one problem with mounting your phone to your bike is that if its too good, it could be dangerous for your phone. I once had a really solid mount, and when i fell hard, my phone stayed on my bike. However, that meant all the energy from the fall traveled to my phone and it actually broke on the inside (the screen ribbon ripped). Its kind of like downhill skis, you want them to attatch to your feet strongly, but if you fall you don't want them to stay on

Would like to see more on phone mounts that have kits for non-flagship phones. I've been using a quadlock for years for years now since it is easy to remove the phone side with a razor blade, clean it up and slap it on a any smooth backed case (or right onto a phone if you are some kind of savage) with a simple 3m double sided adhesive. It has been flawless which only includes a little off road. Mous appears to be iphone only for the bike mount- that is a massive con for over 70% of prospective buyers! Fidlock sell a universal mount for use with any smooth phone case for 14 Euro - that is a pretty big pro! (quadlock universal is slightly cheaper) I'll be sticking to quadlock since I already own it, but I hope this comment is helpful for all of the many sub $1,000 smartphone riders. The sandals maybe a pair of heel straps away from being summer commuter weapons!

This video reminds me those stereo system tutorials you did, lmao. Not sure why. Perfect music choice for the slides, lol.

The ride concepts shoes are great. I have a pair of the Livewire shoes they make and love them. Tons of grip, but better cushion in the sole and a more robust toe box and upper compared to regular 5 10 freeriders.

I have Ride Concepts Hellion Elites, I love them, they are comfortable, stick solidly on platforms, are like armor for your feet, and look super dope- slick and understated in the colors I got, which I don’t actually think are available anymore, but they rock.

I actually have the Mous case and wallet and absolutely love both of them, I’ll probably pick that one for the bike when I get my own Mountain Bike or go to Whistler Bike Park again.

I personally stand by mous as a regular phone case, I’ve used it for 4 years on different phones and it’s just amazing! Absolutely great phone protection!

Quadlock sell their own preparatory wireless chargers. A waterproof version (boats and motos etc) and a standard internal one (desk, car etc). I already have 2 cars, moto, 3 bikes, desk etc all fitted out with quadlock kit, because it was the best there was, as you said, and i'm not too fussed by the slight protrusion in the case. But overall love the performance and quality. I really like how cool that fidlock one is. The other one looks like it'll just get too much gunk in the little groves too easily....
