Fun fact the $13 000 bike costs them $1300 to produce 😂 If i would ride all the time i would eventually go for it too though.

Don't buy an assembled, big box bike. If they won't give you one in the box at the store, order it online and assemble it yourself. That's easier than fixing a misassembled bike.

That bike looks alright. Walmart getting into the mountain bike game 15 years too late.

I doubled the price of my mtb aswell. Was it worth it? questionable. Was it fun? For sure, especially when i bought stuff that was not compatible with each other, but i was having blast anyway.

"If immigrant moves" How woke of Seth 😮 You get 10 woke points for that statement!😉 I'm sure that there are Americans who can barely afford 300$ bicycle. But, that's not popular..

Once you have your Ali Express tool Kit complete, would you consider comparing the the Ali Express Kit, against a high end kit. I suggest 9532 Chainriveter set for workshops. I bought myself the Wera Kit with my tax refund. I'd like the see if the over priced tool kit, compares underpriced kit.

The crank set and chainring shown in the video is not the same one the Amazon link pulls up. How many teeth does your chainring have?

I find that if you do have sticker residue you can use wd40 and a old rag let the wd40 sit for a bit on the residue and then use some elbow grease

I have always found it a little funny that bikes are all very similar and that riders seem to have an absolute opinion that brand A is the best. Probably because it's made in the same factory as brand B. Brand bias is often funny when at the bottom of the hill brand Z rider is first.

Another great hobby I think you should try is FPV quadcopters. I am addicted to them. They take a lot of practice to learn how to fly, and how to repair when they break. But it is just such a fun experience.

those crash pads look really promising. i think they might be something like hydrocolloid wound dressings, which are expensive, but work absolute wonders on abrasions, burns, road rash, or one thing or another having just taken a off of your epidermis/dermis. (dont fuck with electric planes. it hurts!) in clean, moist conditions such wounds heal MUCH faster, and with very little formation of scars, as opposed to just letting them scab over, and be an itchy, ugly nuissance for weeks.

As a bike mechanic watching this brings me joy and lots of laughter, restoring bikes that look like "an easy rebuild" always has many speed bumps but that satisfaction when you have it finished is just amazing.

My bike is red and black with no other colours whatsoever. I painted my dork disk black to match the bike and it actually looks pretty good. Should I have just taken it off? Probably. Can I now point out the all colour matched bike to my friends who don't ride? Hell yeah I can.

Great video! I love how you don’t denigrate the department store bike, and stick the facts. In the 90s I had a high end stumpjumper and got passed on a climb by a kid on a department store bike. That kid now is probably living the sport and that makes me happy. When I sold bikes I also found there was a point of diminishing returns, and a sweet spot for price and features. Thanks for sharing what you think that is today. Lastly - cool ti bike!

Me thinks, don't go removing it for no reason if your bike has one, but also don't feel compelled to get one if you don't.
