13 - year - old boy singer Cormac Thompson sings SOMEWHERE from Bernstein's musical West Side Story. Cormac’s golden treble / boy soprano voice earned him a Decca album, four yesses on Britain's Got Talent and a place in the final of BBC Young Chorister choirboy /girl of the year too.
Turning 14 back in March 2023, Cormac recorded 'Somewhere' when he was still just 13 and his treble voice was in fine form, back in AUGUST 2022.

I went back to the studio with Dominic & Simon to record 3 more songs. That session gave us Cinema Paradiso (Se), When She Loved Me and this one, which is the very last one. We’re getting really close now to the end of the all the songs I was so very lucky to record, as a boy treble, before my voice changed. After Somewhere there’s just two more left 🙃Releasing them gradually has allowed my voice some much needed time to get on with doing it's changing thing!! I arrived home very late and exhausted from work. I had to continue searching for information, so I logged into KZfaq. Suddenly, THIS ANGEL appeared on my screen singing this song. I reclined on the couch and felt that angels exist because it moved my soul.

That was just gorgeous.That special place in puberty where the voice is so pure and young but what this performance has is the interpretation of the lyric. It is is hopeful and painful and bespeaks such positivty that is the hope of youth. Just loved it.

I lost my treble voice 40 years ago (and I still miss it 😂). It was never as good as yours. I love this song, Tom Waits’ version is on my wedding video. I hope when your voice settles down it doesn’t sound like Tom Waits 😂 These releases are wonderful; i must have listened to When she loved me 50 times already. Its not just the voice, its the musicality and phrasing that is excellent. When your new voice emerges your musicality will work out how to make a wonderful instrument of it.

Thanks Bill I'm pretty sure I'll still miss mine in 40 yrs too 🤗🤗so far I have still been able to pitch my voice quite well and it does sound better than it did back in say February but it still has a way to go but I'm looking forward to my first concert using the new voice tomorrow night .... I think! here for no cracks
