This is a great song. It is too bad here in Japan, only few people can recognize the beauty and the depth of this song because of their linguistic handicap. I believe when understood, everybody in this world will be impressed by this song. One day, I will give lectures at colleges about this song using this KZfaq. (a PhD in Law in Tokyo, Japan)

A group of us just sent the ashes of a dear friend of ours downstream up in Northern Maine. We had this song playing in the background. Thank you for this great song. It made this day perfect.

A fine version of an emotionally charged song. here in England we have versions by Spooky Men's Chorale ( Aussies actually ) , Folk Rock Band ' False Lights ' and shanty crew ' Swinging the Lead ' - Rani's own versions with Salamander Crossing and Daisy Mayhem too are fine.

Perhaps you should mention the version by Craig Morgan and Robson who performed it in the UK well before any of those groups you mention and brought it to the attention of many.

I actually stayed in the room where Tennyson wrote this... overlooking the bar at the entrance of Salcombe harbour.
