Moby do a great cover, but nothing beats the raw haunted tones of the legend who was Ian Curtis 1956-80. The original will never be bettered.

I love this version! My first exposure to this song was the opening night of Heat. I bought the soundtrack on CD (remember those?) and the rest was history. I was excited to see the song used again in the Equalizer (2014). This is on the soundtrack of my life.

absolutely, everything is perfect in this movie as oftenly with Michael Mann, who is an underrated director ! the gunfight scene is the most realistic in whole history of cinema

What makes Michael Mann films so powerful and interesting isn’t the plot it’s the characters because he makes you see both sides and you can’t help to root for bad guy too! Especially in heat! He’s a movie making genius and also has most realistic gun battles!

It’s a very very good cover, as is Nine Inch Nails version of Dead Souls. You may even prefer it - fair enough. But ‘blows the original out of the water’ - have a word with yourself, seriously.
