Just got the Bertucci A2T a couple of days ago. Black dial, black nylon band for my birthday. I'm liking it a lot.

Bertucci makes tough, reliable watches, chock full of specs and features. All for a very affordable price. I'd say you got a modern classic right there! I am thinking of getting the A-2TR myself with the GMT hand on the rubber strap. A beauty of a tool watch!

Yes, that A-2TR Field Pro GMT looks like it’s a tank of a watch. Great tool watch for sure … and that Italian rubber strap, for having tried one on another watch, is “sumptuous”! It’s soft on your wrist and rock solid too. Maybe not as solid as their Heavy Duty Nylon Webbing bands but at least it’s 100 times more comfortable. If you have the budget, I’d go for it if I were you … but I’m biased, I already have four and love this brand 🙂👍🏼 Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching!

@@timetowatch_francois I agree - the rubber strap would be my choice (my favorite is the green-ish one). The Nylon and the leather look like they're of amazing quality, but they do look overly thick and bulky, adding chunkiness to an already chunky watch. These watches are indeed tanks! It’s indeed a great “beater” watch. You’ll have many years of wrist time with this one. When I know I’ll be hard on my watch, it’s my “go to” along with the G-Shock square. Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching.

I know it's a tool watch, but Bertucci needs to make a refined slimmer version with detachable spring bars for leather straps.

@@joshsher6327 - I totally agree with you. I hear that there are a few in the works that may correspond to your statement. However, after my brief discussion with Mr. Bertucci himself, he clearly indicated “if it’s not broken, why fix it” 😉 I.e. it’s a formula that made them what they are now. Oh … good question! At the same price, a Bertucci watch has better specs in my opinion (Sapphire, Titanium, etc) but a G-Shock watch would have more features (alarm, chrono, etc). G-Shock seems more expensive in general and Bertucci is more of a better “bang-for-your-buck” type of watch. If I had to choose only one, it would be a G-Shock b/c of all the features but if money is tight, Bertucci all the way. Thanks for asking and thanks for watching! 🙂👍🏼

Ma Réponse: Une montre avec une mouvement mécanique ne sera jamais aussi résistant aux chocs et aux impacts c'est certain. Ok, je suis "vendu" à Bertucci mais le Boldr Venture utilise un mouvement de Seiko SII NH35 (avec la date retirée). Pour ce mouvement, Seiko utilise leur système "Diashock" qui est une protection qui entour le mouvement et "feutre/absorbe" les vibrations et les chocs mais il y a beaucoup de partie qui bougent pour faire fonctionner la montre et ajoute du risk d'être endommagés. Pour un mouvement Quartz, il y a beaucoup moins de partie qui bougent risquant beaucoup moins de bris dû au chocs/impacts. J'espère que ça répond à ta question. @Oleg B - They don’t share this information on their website. They only talk about their finishing. However, they will be lending me their “A-4T Super Yankee” for an upcoming review and they may have additional information added to the documentation. I’ll keep a note to notify you either way. @@timetowatch_francois Thank you for the quick answer, I was just wondering to know how well it holds up to scratches, how would you predict if compared to 316l stainless steel?

@@olegb5061 - Unfortunately, unless Titanium has some sort of coating on it, it scratches a little more than 316L SS. From what I see, Bertucci only talk about finishing and don't specify any "dura-coat"-like coating on their cases. But, like I said, I'll keep myself a note to reply back to you once I get the "loaner" they'll be sending me shortly. Hope this helps.

@Oleg B - I wasn’t able to secure a review of the Super Yankee model (I think they simply forgot me after a few follow up emails … they’re busy running a company after all!). I haven’t been able to determine the grade of titanium they use … yet. Keep you posted.

@Oleg B - I was able to find the titanium grade by reaching out to a watch manufacturer who also resells Bertucci watches. It’s closer to a Titanium Grade 1 which is the softest titanium and has the highest ductility (can be stretched and formed easily to build a complex form like a watch) BUT it has great strength and corrosion resistance once the product is completed. There you go! Hope this helps in your “quest” to find a good field watch 🙂👍🏻

@@timetowatch_francois they are assembled in the USA. The cases are made in china, the movements are made in Japan, and the bands are made in the USA.

I don't consider the bertucci titanium a beater watch if you're spending around $195, I consider a beater watch around 40 to 50 bucks...........

You have a great point there. In line with that thinking, their "Polycarbonate" watches would be more in line with a beater watch. They are not expensive (as low as 88$), they are very light and legible. I must admit that I use my 60$ G-Shock 5600 "Speed" version as a true beater watch in my everyday tasks so, I have to agree with you. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching.

I hate nylon band, I prefer leather or stainless steel bracelet, so it is na no no for me

I hear you. However, when you truly use this watch for everything, including yard work, fixing up the pool, etc. a solid nylon strap washes of and drys much more efficiently. That’s how I use all my Bertucci watches and I appreciate the ease of maintenance. Thanks for your comment, thanks for sharing and thanks for watching 😊👍🏼

@@TonyAlvestad - Thanks for reaching out. B/C this is a nylon strap, the sweat dries up in no time at all. The thing I do every time I wear them, I make sure to rinse them out and even add a little soap in the warm water to make sure the salts and minerals left behind by the sweat is cleaned out.
