thankyou very much Sir. tried this setup different ways, unfortunately all no-go. possibly a ''Milkovic-oscillation'' was used somehow (mt 87, 89) let's find it out! =)

Interesting setup. These type of designs usually need some input to lift the weight at the point where it's easiest. Even though it's practically effortless, the machine won't do it on it's own, there has to be some input. The Skinner machine, even though it is a different setup, illustrates this. 2000lbs of weights turn and produce 1500W of power, with 100-200W input, which is practically zero considering the mechanical losses of the gears, pivots, etc.

hi quantum! yes, you are right! this is not gna do on it's own. also tried with 2, with heavier weights/shorter ratchets, (no-go). i liked your most recent skinner machine vid, very interesting. lets find it out Skinner and Bessler! thanks =)

@@lindaellison899yes. There's a difference between no input and "almost effortless input." It's weird but that's how it works. (small versions don't really produce much power but when you scale it up a lot, there's significant energy there.)

@@lindaellison899One problem in this video I see is that the weight swings in the opposite direction, which slows it down. It's called an inertia drive effect, the spinning weight pulls the center toward the direction of the centrifugal force. Milkovic has a page about this on his website, where he is sitting on a cart.

@@QuantumEnergySearch oh, i see what u mean, the inertia effect is pulling long arm's pivot on wrong side of wheel! good observation, thanks for pointing that out. il check out his website too, thanks =).
