What’s up Guys! In this video I review what I think is the best adjustable weight bench you can buy, which is the Rep Fitness AB-5000. This is Rep Fitness’s Flagship bench. It is comparable to the Rogue AB-3 Adjustable weight bench, which is also Rogue’s Flagship Adjustable weight bench.

You’d love it. As long as you don’t need leg work, in that case I’d go Inspire fitness scs bench with leg attachment. I made a video on it

It’s nice if you don’t have much space and need to store bench on it’s side but doesn’t have the zero gap option, decline option or core work option like the AB-5000 does. I’d actually take the AB-3000 over the 5200 for decline and price.

I noticed the Rep bench does not have rubber stoppers underneath the feet to prevent scratching the floor. The Rogue one does have them.

It actually does have nice rubber feet pads. Not the same look as the rogue ones. REP are actually better in my opinion because they not only have rubber on the bottom, but all around the top as well

Thank you for this review. It was great. Can you tell me two things: 1) is this red different front the Rogue red? 2) can this bench be stood up vertically to take up less space when not in use? Thanks again for your guidance.

No problem and yes it’s designed to stand up on side to save space. Rogue red is just a tad brighter. It’s close enough they blend together in gym well in my opinion.

Looks like they thought of everything but the grab handle and maybe some non slip rubber for your feet where you mounted the decline. Those welds though, omg.

They don't have a pop pin, it has one that screws to tighten and loosen.

@@MattTolbers there is a hole there for a pop pin. Out of all the reviews I've seen yours is the only that doesn't have one on the side but you have the hole for it. It’s a bit hard to tell by seeing on camera, but how does REP’s ‘red’ color way compare to Rogue’s ‘Rogue Red’ color way? I am debating on picking this up when it comes back in stock, with color in mind. Thanks!

The reds are pretty similar. Rep's red seems a slight pink ish in it though. It's still red just looks closer to pink then Rogues in my opinion. I know that sounds super bad, just being honest lol

@@MattTolbers I know right now they're not available for some odd reason...(???) I just wanted to see what anyone really thought of them as I have the regular SB. It's fine for me, but I'm also not trying to bench press a k, or whatever (though I believe it is rated at 1k in flat position). Many garage gyms & reviews seems to target a powerlifting or strength training segment. That's fine, but I and perhaps many others are interested in more of a bodybuilding, or overall strength and fitness type of program. For example, if I weren't looking for another bar right now, I'd be looking at bars similar to Branch Warren's Texas Bodybuilding Bar. With it's center knurl, three ring markers on either side, and 27mm size, it has a high utility value for the style of training I'm more into.

I went over the main differences, unfortunately not as good as having both in one video side by side but should be pretty easy to hear the differences I say and then go looks at a video or photo of the Rogue. Main purpose of the video is to show the Rep-Ab5000 and just speak of its competitor bench not and in depth comparison.

Bench seems wobbly when you where doing declined sit ups.

You honestly don’t feel any wobble, but I’m sure there is a little bit being 215lbs moving back and forth. The bench would have to weigh like 400lbs and be extremely hard to adjust the angle and move around to make it anymore solid.

The bench was $499 and leg attachment was $89 when I purchased mine. Total was $673 after taxes and shipping. Not a cheap bench but you get what you pay for.

@@MattTolbers Awesome. I purchased one for 800 total including the decline. Amazing bench, built like a tank. I noticed when you pull the seat, you just pull the pin and you can maneuver it the way you want. I have to tighten and loosen in order to move the seat. Any ideas?

Yeah you have it screwed on to tight to be able to pull pin and slide it. Loosen it a little then pull pin and see if it slide. If it doesn’t you need to loosen it a little more and pull pin and try to slide it. Do that until you only need the pin to lock it. Shouldn’t be many reasons to have to tighten it all the way down past the pin unless you feel it’s wiggles less

Because that one looks just as good as the rep fitnes ab5000 and is in stock right now for 449. Because the only difference i see between them is the titan fitness bench has a gap and the recliner has more angles and a fully vertical recliner for when doing sit ups or core workout

The Titan Fitness Max Fid bench is a great option depending on your needs. The Titan fitness bench only has a 600lb weight capacity where the Rep has 1000lb. Add your weight plus what you can lift max and see if it’s close to the 600lb max for safety reasons. The Titan won’t have colors, as good of welds or powder coat. The Titan does have a gap pad which is ok, but nothing like how nice reps build in zero gap is. The one thing I do like about the Titan is the handle on the leg attachment, helps you get on and off easier. After taxes and shipping the Titan is about $190 cheaper and you can order now so if the things I stated don’t affect you I say good buy.

Also I recommend checking out my brand new video on the Fitness Reality super max bench. 850lb weight capacity with zero gap option and nice leg attachment. Only $169 at moment on amazon. Super solid bench, by far best for that price range. Use it in conjunction with “The Step” I show in video for deep ab work

Brand New gym equipment of this quality and strength are expensive bro. This bench isn’t for someone on a budget or just trying to get the bare necessities, it’s for people who want the best and are willing to pay for it. Update6 months and I'm still loving this bench. kzfaq.infoUgkxo_64lVTGMk7y4aXTPxPOcQ3YTLyQ6kYV I use it almost daily. I've gotten used to the small wobble and it's no problem at all. Love the storage, it folds right next to my weight set in the garage and hardly takes any space. I wish the covering material was a little bit tougher. I have a feeling that in a couple years it'll tear, but the bench is very well priced that I would just buy a new one.3 month usage review. Awesome bench for someone looking for compactness and storage. I did have to drill a couple holes to adjust my preferred seating position and leg bar position but that's only due to my personal preference. It's very sturdy for normal workouts, but for anyone going above 100# dumbbell press it wobbles ever so slightly. I would probably go with a fixed bench if that's the case. That being said i can accomplish 99% of my normal gym workout with this setup. Very happy with the purchase.
