Today I am talking about the weight loss and fitness gadgets, equipment, and technology that really work ... and really don't. There are so many "miracles" on the market today - from wearables to home gym equipment - that seem like the perfect fix. But are they worth it? I have had so many gadgets over the years 😂 I’m 64 and what I love most is my rebounder, my Pilates reformer, and my foam roller! And WALKING is probably #1 I also love my Fitbit to track my steps and heart rate! Love your channel and information ❤

Many gadgets over the years, but the ones that have actually worked/I'm seeing good results with are: home elliptical machine, Apple iWatch, food scale, Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred, a water bottle that keeps water COLD, appropriate sized plates/bowls, a matt for comfortable stretching and my chin up bar that's permanently put in my bedroom door frame.

I use all the things that I use with purpose. No weight to lose, just maintaining a strong and healthy body and mind. ❤

Fitbit recently broke and I got the oura which I’m returning. It looks big & bulky and I don’t love, but wearables to help along with the free version of my fitness pal. Running and walking and lifting are the best for me. I’m 43 with 5 year old twins.

Sofie, I'm noticing you're using coloured hummingbird feeder food. It is very unhealthy for the birds as it contains red food dye! Please switch to making your own food for them by mixing 1 cup plain white sugar with 4 cups of water. The birds will appreciate this! 🙏🙂

Plus, regular white sugar. Raw or any other kind will kill them.

I purchased a pilates chair from QVC in 2016. It is somewhere in my garage. I have many fitness videos from Pilates, yoga, zumba, Bob Harper, Tony Horton's, P90X which I did the 90 day challenge in 2014 and dropped from a size 12 to a size 6. But my challenge is losing inches and some weight now that I am in menopause. I go on walks do some yoga, lift light weights from time to time. The only benefits I have is moving my body but the menopause weight isn't going away.

I am 63. I walk 4-5 days a week, hike 2-3 days a week, kayak one day a week in the summer, and use my Pilates reformer/ Pilates chair/and TRX straps 6 days a week for strengthening. When the weather interferes, i use my rowing machine indoors, but the weather has to be pretty bad. I much prefer being outdoors regardless of the weather. My arthritic knees don’t tolerate the rebounder….. but I think Ill get a FItBit. If I measure things, they improve. Im more mindful about my goals when I measure what Im doing.

I don’t tend to use gadgets or weight loss supplements but since Covid and since retirement I have sadly fallen out of my gym routine. I have many aches and pains now, not sure if some of this is due to menopause.I have always been in very good shape but now back pain and joint pain tends to keep me down. I do a lot of gardening and I love it! The reformer looks pretty cool. Would love to see you in action on it. Maybe that would prompt me to try it.

I need advice on how to lose my belly fat for good. I am 73 and exercise twice a week at the senior center. I start eating at 11:00 each morning and try not to eat after 6:00. I just need advice to lose about 15 lbs but around my belly…please. I look forward to hearing from you

I’ve tried only 1 gadget (a treadmill) but a lot of supplements! One where I drank something to lose weight while I slept 😂 What IS working is doing walking workouts at home via Get Fit With Rick videos on KZfaq. It’s the only think I’ve been able to stick with for an extended period of time. I do use my Apple Watch to track steps, minutes of exercise, and heart rate. It’s not very accurate with steps though because I wear my watch on my left wrist but that’s also the arm I use to carry things, etc. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ve wanted a rebounder for quite some time but I don’t know what size to get and how to even use it.

I gave my Rebounder away because my chiropractor said it wasn’t good for me with my back issues. I have spondylitis and scoliosis 😢

If you try walking instead of bouncing on it, you may not need to pee so much!
