Save the cake and eat yourself ! Here's a simple dough bait tutorial : 2 cup of flour Handful of peanuts fried with no oil until some small black spot develop on the skin. or you can substitute with chicken feed, the aromatic ones. Blend it Make a dough with those items with little water. It must not be sticky or fall apart when put on hook. For chicken feed ,add 3 drops of banana cake essence. Good for all freshwater fish. The peanut bait can even catch river prawns !!! Happy fishing, from Malaysia. Rozz

Hi,Rohu is a carp. Got sweet tooth. Boil and mesh sweet potatoes bind it with flour n make into dough. Alternatives, use wheat based cream crackers or round Marie biscuit. Blend it and use flour as binder Happy fishing , from Malaysia !

I'm an expert in these fish because a river runs behind my house. Important to use fine #8-9 prawn Eagle Wave or Naruto brand hooks. It's spade end, so tying will be a challenge. Mono line 12 lbs ,not more. Use peanuts,soce rubber seed needs to fry without oil until aromatic. Bind with flour. Add 3 drops of banana cake essence for carps. Alternative,use cream crackers or Marie biscuit(if available in India) make it dog with water and bind it with flour. Sweet potatoes are great bait for carps. I use chicken feed. More aromatic, the better.Mixed with flour and some banana essence. Work wonders. Able to catch a few hundreds per 2 hours ! Use tiny float only. You want to catch more ? Go net fishing. Need long rod. Cut5' square mono fish net. Put another piece on top to be 2 layer and arranged it to be 8 corners. Pick the middle bet carefully and make a strong loop. Put a bait spring and sinker on top. You catch more fish this way. See vids on net fishing or PANCING JARING in Indonesia. Make yourself. The shop net is smaller. Catch mullets,crabs etc...... We help fellow anglers. Happy fishing from Malaysia !
