How come there's no algae/weeds near where you guys are fishing? Every time I go to the North Shore and elsewhere the lake is choked with so much weeds. Never been at the time of year you are fishing though.

There are some good spots along the north shore where the algae isnt bad. The weeds can get bad during summer but you can find spots that are fishable.

The Observatory right out side of serrano is a good spot. Also further down by the dam

Early morning or later afternoon is usually best. Fish are biting mid day this time of year as well.

Usually fish with 4lb test or sometimes 2lb 🤙

Are you guys using circle hooks or editing? I do eat whatvi fish using a #8 mosquito hook and they swallow the hook

We use both treble and Mosquito hooks. Sometimes they do swallow them and we have to keep them. If they are small and hooked in the lip we release them.

Its not a location that comes up on google maps. This day we fished about a mile East of the Dam, on the north shore of the Lake.

Depends where your fishing and what style of fishing your enjoy. I would say that mini jigs or lures would be the best way for catching rainbow trout. I perfer the wait and Bait technique with either powerbait or micetails for lakes.
