Just going to put this out here, these are my opinions and I did this for fun! I do not expect many people to agree with my rankings, and when making this I went based off what I found myself listening and enjoying more often this year. This always changes and it's hard to have a set list given the importance of all these albums. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion! Also the video did get inverted which is why the albums may look different (that just happens when you record on an iPhone), I will be looking into fixing that for my next video!

There is no wrong way to make a Beatles albuns ranking hehe. As I told you in your first video, we use to change/improve our perceptions about music. I love the Beatles since I was about 10, and much much things and preferences on Beatles music has changing since. Greetings from Brazil.

Taste in music (art, for that matter) is subjective. (smile) I always liked the American release of Rubber Soul more than the British one. Ever hear their American release The Early Beatles? Great album imho and its front cover is the same as the back cover of Beatles For Sale. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Early_Beatles

Revolver is my favourite Beatles album because it has everything I want from them. "Taxman" starts the album very well and I'm glad George gets the opening track. "Eleanor Rigby" is so emotional and well-written and it shows how skilled Paul is as a writer. "I'm Only Sleeping" is again, rather emotional and well-written and also shows how skilled John is as a writer. "Love To You" is very psychedelic and has great Indian instrumentation. "Here, There, and Everywhere" has fantastic lyrics, amazing vocals from Paul, and great harmonies. "Yellow Submarine" has some cool sound effects and I dig Ringo's vocals on this one. "She Said She Said" has the band sounding great and the song progresses very well. "Good Day Sunshine" is rather up-beat and has really nice keyboard solo somewhere in the middle of the song. "And Your Bird Can Sing" has a really good dual-guitar melody from George and Paul, and the song is catchy as hell. "For No One" is another emotional and well-written song from Paul and I don't understand why this song isn't talked about as much as "Eleanor Rigby". "Doctor Robert" also has the band sounding great and the drug references in the lyrics are cool as well. "I Want To Tell You" is another catchy song and it's my favourite George song this album. "Got To Get You Into My Life" has great R&B influenced horns and this song is actually about marijuana instead of a woman. And finally, "Tomorrow Never Knows" is trippy as hell and the reversed guitar on this song is so damn psychedelic and cool.

Great ranking. I agree with you, putting Rubber Soul so highly and a Hard Day's Night suggests that you're a John aficionado like me. it's good to see a Beatles ranking that doesn't follow the usual pattern of 1. Abbey Road and 2 Revolver for a change.

I'm 73 so , probably like your grandparents, beatlemania in my dna.... I was so happy when the White album came out and the guys were back to playing guitar. there was a drive in movie theatre across street from my house, snuck in to watch ' hard days' more than twice , even thou rattlesnakes had large dens within half a mile. My fave Beatles. 1. revolver , White album, Abby road. minor interesting fact, George had the best tune on both the White Al & Abby rd. , clear to me - not a bad resume.

Hi, Ella- I'm just a few minutes into this video, and I'm really enjoying it. I've never seen you before, but luckily y'all just showed up in my reccomends. I'll share some random thoughts while I watch. I've loved the Beatles since was very young, and took up bass and guitar when I was 13. My best friend and bandmate would spend hours listening and learning how to play our instruments. I fell nadly in love with Paul's bass playing, and most of my favourites are those albums where he really shines on bass. •Rubber Soul• is the album that goes deepest in my heart. It creates a beautiful atmosphere that is unique among Beatle records. I can't think of a single song on that record that i don't like. I even like the Ringo song! Oops, sorry, I should say I dearly love Ringo for his absolute genius drumming and his personality, both of which elevated the band and completed them. Can you imagine Peter Best being their drummer throughout their career? Shudder. "I'm Looking Through You", "You Won't See Me" (awesome bass part), "The Word", "Nowhere Man" ... John & Paul were really hitting their stride and George was really good too. Anyway, Rubber Soul would have the number one spot all to itself if it weren't for... •Revolver• so they share it. I'd say it lives a little bit more in my head than in my heart, but I love it deeply. "Here, There, And Everywhere" is my favourite song by them and probably by anyone, but there are many Beatles songs that are at about the same place or close in my estimation. "Eleanor Rigby" is a song I seem to love more every time I hear it. The double string quartet is so dramatic and goes beautifully with the unflinching lyrics. This has already become somewhat long-winded, so I won't bore you to tears with my take the whole lot. I'll address the 1967 situation then be on my way. •Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band• Is awesome, monumental, breathtaking, groundbreaking, and, like, totally psychedelic, man. I love it, but I love it's underappreciated stepsister, •Magical Mystery Tour• better. All the songs came from the same sessions that produced "Sgt. Pepper". Tons of bass wizardry from Paul. Thank you, I liked hearing your thoughts and opinions. You obviously have great affection for the band's work. I like that you aren't afraid to diverge from the conventional rankings these albums get, and that you are so respectful and pleasant about it. Good show.

Smart call making Rubber Soul number 1. The trio of "Girl", "I'm Looking Through You" and "In My Life" tips the scales. Overall, John's best album. Revolver is my number 2, and probably overall Paul's best album. The "A Hard Day's Night" album should get more love. My two favorite songs of theirs are "She's Leaving Home" and "If I Fell". In the case of the latter song, they were so young that I don't think they realized they's just written a standard, like "Pennies from Heaven" or something similar, and they probably played it a little too fast when they recorded it. I really like the version from the movie "Across the Universe". Good to see younger people liking Beatle music, it is what it is, it's more for relaxing as opposed to dancing in a club.

This is one of those topics that no one can agree on and the order can continually change over time. And unfortunately, when it comes to the Beatles, some people get really upset if your opinion differs from theirs. I agree with you about Sgt.Pepper. It used to be higher on my list but not recently. Mostly because the second side seems a little weak to me. It would have been much better if they had kept Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields Forever on the album instead of releasing them as singles. I'd swap them with Lovely Rita and Good Morning. I wan't much of a fan of Revolver until the last few years. Now it tops my list. Whenever I see the cover of A Hard Day's Night I always immediately see that first picture of Paul where he looks like a Simpson's character. It would be great to share your collection, maybe as a series of lists with a comment on a few albums here and there. You have a lot of creative design possibilities.

My top 5 Beatles albums are as follows: 5) *Help!* (To me, their most accomplished "Beatlemania" album, straight-forward poppy love songs) 4) *Revolver* (This is one is actually stealing a bit of Sgt Pepper's thunder these days, happy people are rediscovering it) 3) *Abbey Road* (The closest thing I think they have to a timeless sounding record, and one of the many reasons 1969 was the greatest year in pop) 2) *Past Masters Volume Two* (yes, it's all their non-album singles from 1966 to 1970 in order of release, but it has perfect flow) 1) *The White Album* (The opposite of perfect flow, but it's hugely eclectic and bursting with creativity)

I often change favorite album, because of listening too much you get tired of it. It happens that my first exposure to the Beatles was the movie A Hard Day's Night when I was a kid, and I got the album after that, so it's special for me, it's being my favorite for the time being, when I listen to it I remember my childhood, when I started to become a fan.

I think it is everybody’s experience to change their Beatle rankings. But I think that is what is so great about them. They have so much variety that their music just kind of swings to your different moods and where you’re at in life at the time. Give yourself another year and you know your ranking will change again 🙂. Loved your video, that was very enjoyable. Watching a young person being so smart about their music and expressing such a heartfelt love for them is one of my favorite things. 🙂 And may I say that I really appreciate how much you like their earlier music. Most lean so much on the later stuff. When their earlier music is just as good. One thing that’s missing from your ranking are the singles that aren’t on the albums. Maybe that could be a separate video for you to do

I know it's all subjective, but you might wanna give that song a listen again. Also, I would highly suggest doing reactions to Led Zeppelin albums (where you actually video yourself playing the albums for the first time and giving immediate reactions on first listen). I have an artist friend! He loves to work in the style of waxography and also draws portraits of all the members of the Beatles! He just paints portraits in an unusual way, takes a brush and dips it in ordinary water, so you won’t see anything on the canvas because the canvas is dark, but after sketching the water silhouette, he just takes it and sprinkles sand or flour on wet contours! One way to breakdown favorite Beatles albums would be to pick one from the pre-Bob Dylan influence era ( which are very cute and pop-like styles) and pick one from the post- Dylan influence era (much more interesting for many) learning and analyzing that is a rock and roll history lesson ..... you will observe the difference that begins about the Rubber Soul lp...!

I often thought of the meeting of the Beatles and Dylan as an event of cosmic proportions, the convergence of celestial forces that ended up bouncing off each other. The Beatles walked away with a desire to play acoustic material and in the opposite direction, Dylan went off into his electric period. As a result, the fans got the best of both worlds.

Hi again Ella. It was an absolute pleasure chatting with you today. I first discovered your channel in August and being that I'm a huge Beatles fan, you quickly earned my affection. As soon as you said you were more of a John fan, like myself, I became a subscriber. I'd like to take this opportunity to share a link with you to a YT channel I've been enjoying for the past several months. Andrew Milton, the host of Parlogram Auctions, seems to an expert with all things vinyl in the Beatles universe. He is clearly very knowledgeable and has not yet expressed a summary that I could disagree with. In short, his observations are very enlightening and I've learned a lot from him. I must point out, however, that I am not an avid vinyl collector. A fair amount of what he discusses is a bit overwhelming to me. My collection is between 200-250 records and a vast majority of it is all older material which I seriously doubt has any significant value. I believe the last time I purchased a vinyl was the Beatles Love LP was released back in 2006. And speaking about Love.... I failed to mention during the chat how much I thoroughly enjoy the remix of Revolution on Love. Being that the original was so heavily distorted, I was never able to properly identify John and George's guitar work. Now that both are separated, it sounds like a whole new song to me. I've always loved the original, but I find I'm loving the remix twice as much. All the same, the best overall track on Love is, imo, Strawberry Fields. It stands out above all the rest due to the way it was superbly mixed. I especially enjoy the end portion where the drums (one of Ringo's best momnts) hold it together while several bits and pieces from various songs intertwine with it. All of it courtesy of excellent craftsmanship from George Martin and his son, Giles. Soooo, in closing....I feel compelled to declare that I find you completely adorable. Not only do you have beautifully kind eyes and a heartwarming smile, you exhibit an admirable character and shine with a magnetic spirit. It's too bad I'm married and almost 100 years old. Hope you enjoy the link. Cheers and happy holidays, Tom kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oKumerWk28CzqHU.html

23:20 In 1986, a full-fledged Beatle album, A Hard Day's Night, was released for the first time in the USSR. The main feature of this disc was the translation of the album's title and all the songs into Russian. For some reason, the song When I Get Home was missing from the Soviet edition. A compilation album, A Taste of Honey, was also published, based on material from the first three albums of the Liverpool Four.

When John Lennon died I was 10 years old. My older brother at that time was watching TV on which there was a report about this event and tells me that John Lennon has died! I asked him who is this? He said that the musician of the Beatles! I did not attach any importance to this since I was very small and had no idea what the Beatles were, and even more so John Lennon! My acquaintance with the Beatles happened quite by accident, my classmate asked me to buy the Beatles album A hard days night in the Melodiya music store, which was released for the first time in our country of the USSR by the Melodiya company, since I live not far from this store, I bought this disc and gave it to a classmate! I began to ask him what kind of group? to which he answered me English group The Beatles and said that its founder was John Lennon! I began to remember that six years ago I had already heard the name John Lennon and remembered the reportage about the death of John Lennon 1980. I immediately decided to go to the Melodiya store and buy myself a vinyl disc A hard days night for familiarization! It happened in 1986! And from that time to the present, I have been a lover and connoisseur of the incredible phenomenon The Beatles. At the moment I have the entire collection and discography of the Beatles. Some of their songs I enjoy singing and performing on the guitar! Thanks to my classmate that in 1986 he asked me to buy him the disc A hard days night from which my fateful acquaintance with this great band took place!

I think, I have to take a stand for "Yellow Submarine".😃 Technically, perhaps it shouldn't be classified as a Beatles album, but as a soundtrack LP. Musically, it features four new songs at the time of release. Actually an EP. Two of these songs belong to the maybe 30-40 best Beatles tracks: "Hey Bulldog", a crazy rocker and Harrison's psychedelic masterpiece "It's all too much", in which the Beatles, once again, created a unique sound. Maybe the song is a bit too long. "Only a Northern song" is also so grotesque, that it still amazes when one hear it. Negative: Mr. Harrison whines a little too much... Then there's George Martin's film music, which in my opinion suits to the movie pretty well. As usual, this extraordinary aesthetic of the Abbey Road studios (then still EMI) is always present. How would I rank the record? No idea. I've never done that.

As a result, the disk ended up with John Low, who saved it for 23 years and in 1981 decided to sell it at auction. McCartney, however, bought the disc from Lowe and is a single copy in Paul McCartney's music collection. An unreleased Beatles song written by John Lennon can be heard on Ringo Starr's new album What's my name. For one of the tracks (Grow Old With Me) John wrote the lyrics, but he didn't manage to make a studio recording of the track because he was killed! A hard day night. In 1986, the disc was released in the Soviet Union by the Melodiya company under the name "Evening of a Hard Day". This version of the album omitted the song "When I Get Home" as the rights to re-release the full album were more expensive. Four Nights in Moscow 1996. Hey. They didn't really have anything to do with the Yellow Submarine project. They just recorded some songs for it in between tracks for their 'real' albums. Thanks for the excellent video. And Beatle video is automatically excellent. Nice that Revolver rose up in the rankings. She Said is excellent. Your hair is shorter and you look a day older. I grew up with the US albums. That's why I like Beatles 65 way more than Beatles For Sale. I love the early stuff. I love playing the bass and singing Paul's parts whenever I get to jam with Beatles fans. The white album is my favorite album of all time by anybody ever. Even Back In The Bloody USSR. What's wrong with Paul's songs? I love playing the bass lines for Drive My Car and If I Needed Someone. Who cares. And you should check out my show I was telling you about some months ago. That's where to discover new stuff for your listening vices. Question: why do some folks have their video image reversed? Also, just a little thing: I was slightly unnerved by you staring at someone past my right shoulder. I kept looking but there wasn't anyone there. Look forward to your next stuff.

I appreciate that you have a very unique ranking. I agree that Sgt Peppers is very overrated. I think it's an album that you had to be there for when it was originally released to understand the impact, I'm quite a bit older than you, but even I am too young. I highly disagree with how low you have Revolver, however. So many great songs. My top two have never changed in over 20 years, that'd be The White Album and Abbey Road. The White Album for its variety. Yes, there are a few clunkers, but the best songs are among my favorite they ever recorded. And with Abbey Road, it's just a perfect swan song. There are amazing songs on every single album (even Yellow Submarine), so it's always going to be difficult to come to a consensus on the perfect ranking.

You should get a proper UK copy of Rubber Soul. Your Capitol version takes a couple of tracks from Help and is missing the wonderful Nowhere Man and Drive My Car as well as Harrison's If I Needed Someone and the obligatory Ringo track, What Goes On.

New subscriber greetings from FL: Wow, you don't like Hey Bulldog. When I was a kid in high school, buying the Yellow Submarine album was an after thought. However, it was in the days(way way way) before the internet. So I never heard most of these songs. Hearing Hey Bulldog, All too Much, All Together Now & Only a Northern Song was a real mind blower. Listening to something new (to me) by the Beatles in 1976 was a real treat.

I have to say that your bottom 3 (Yellow Submarine, Let it Be, Beatles for Sale) are so typically ranked in the bottom 3 that I thought you might have just copied and pasted the least controversial list you could find. Then you put Pepper and Revolver next. I have to hand it to you, while I couldn't agree with you less that took guts.

Sorry to hear that Yellow Submarine is your least favorite, but ofc there has to be a last place in every race. Personally, I enjoy the song itself bcuz it features all four of the Beatles singing in unison. The blend of their voices sound special to me and makes me smile every time. While I know it's isn't everyone's cup of tea, I truly enjoy the orchestral soundtrack on Side B of this LP as well. As you may know, this album is not a true Beatles creation and they had virtually no involvement with the production, so the audio quality is subpar. I strongly recommend the 1999 reissue of the LP. It's 100% Beatles material and it includes an astounding remix of the songs that were featured in the movie. It is an absolute must for your collection. ps: love your channel--so much so--you can now count me as one of your newest subscribers. Cheers!

Cool video…Magical Mystery Tour is my personal favorite Beatles’ album. I think it’s the pinnacle of the band’s creativity as a group. Walrus, Fool on the Hill etc. are epic and the album flows perfectly. Great instrumentation (bass harmonica) I’ll be putting out my own Beatles’ top tier video sometime soon (Abbey Road didn’t make the cut). There will be 6 albums on it. Cheers mate.

@@ellaajane Basically, the Beatles had nothing to do with the cartoon, which was produced by Heinz Edelmann and it was only produced, to fulfill a contract with United Artists. I would say, in its capacity as a cartoon, the film offers a lot worth seeing. The story is quite nice, Beatles save the music vs the Blue Meanies, the implementation of the songs is excellent in my opinion. Whether one like the drawing style or not, is of course a question of personal taste, in any case, plenty of clips in advertising were subsequently shot in this style.

sorry, my friend, but the "please please me" album isn't all covers. its about half and half. and what makes "yellow submarine" such a disappointing album is side two. there's no beatle songs on side two. its only half a beatles' album. but "hey bulldog," "its all too much" and "all together now" are excellent songs. and the movie is just wonderful. i never heard anyone not liking that film. aside from yellow submarine, overall "beatles for sale" is their weakest album. but "i'm a loser," "eight days a week" and all the covers are top notch. the "white album" is THE best r&r album ever made. so there.

I didn’t see much of a change in your list at all. I think with Rubber Soul and Hard Day’s Night in the top two, I think these are obviously your forever favourites. Yellow Submarine remains at the bottom for obvious reasons. The only changes I’ve noticed were that With The Beatles, and Revolver are starting to grow on you a bit, that you prefer listening to The White Album over Abbey Road as you started to make more use of the White Album, and that you’re getting tired of Beatles For Sale. So virtually every album is down only one slot, which isn’t very much. Right now, with your name changed from Classic Rock Corner, and this being a do-over from a clip you’ve done as Classic Rock Corner, I would have to say that in my book, I would have to consider the original list that you’ve done as Classic Rock Corner as the official list for ranking the Beatles UK albums , and wait until you rank the U.S. and solo albums, because I would say that the U.K. is in my opinion already been done. And it’s been done by over a million other you tubers and sources - all of them different. So I think you should move on to the U.S. albums next, followed by the solo albums, and the try to find other bands you like that you can rank the discographies of.

That’s ok if you didn’t see a change, personally I did and I only really did this for fun to see how my views changed from last year to now considering I myself have changed. I wasn’t going for an accurate depiction on ranking them on which is better than the other, I only ranked them based on what I found to be my personal likes and dislikes and which I tended to listen to over the others. Thanks for the feedback

My favorite Beatles album is Rubber Soul followed by Abbey Road. My least favorites? Sgt. Pepper's and The White Album. Just can't find the magic in either of those LPs although there are songs on both that I really like. Sgt. Pepper's has not aged well and remains forever locked into 1967. Beyond the triumph of George Martin and Geoff Emerick's production song for song it does not represent the Beatles at their best. Revolver is hit and miss for me but it really stalls out with the inclusion of the uber annoying Yellow Submarine. I cannot stand Good Day Sunshine either. Let It Be is a mediocre album as a whole but again it has a couple decent songs on it.
