Good stuff! From a modelling perspecitive Normans is great (many have such unist already) and in antiquity go Greek-ish OR Roman/Carthaginian. I don't know soem of teh eras gamewise but just avoid the trickiest ones to srat with (or 100% depending on terrin/shooting/all knights etc?

I have a few historic bones to pick with age of crusades. The spanish are a distinct ethnic group. The polish are a distinct ethnic group. Crusaders are an identifiable movement. Saracens are just a lazy catch all term medieval europeans applied to all muslims, be they berber, turk, arab, or anything else. And Moor is a slightly less all encompassing but still utterly indistinct collection of all muslims from an entire region. And the balts and lithuanians and other peoples literally just get to be called "pagan peoples". Is kind of a bummer really in how the game is framed. Distinct euopean cultures and movements and their slurry of enemies that don't warrant the same granularity.

Whatever you do, don't start with Polish 😉

More seriously if you paint Ordensstaat models I think not one person will care if you also run them as Milites Christa and Baltic Crusaders. Even the equipment has strong overlap as long as you start with the iconic mounted HG and Mounted Warlord. Xbows can be levy or warriors. All can make good use of spear warriors and mounted warriors.

@@mightyg4538 It's only half-serious. They were my first warband, so kind of a joke. But I would also rate them as very difficult to play competitively especially for someone new to Saga. But hey if Polish strike your fancy go for it!
