Today we put the Ego 765 against the Ryobi 730 in multiple tests to show how well they are at drying cars and the ergonomic differences that you need to know before buying. Enjoy the video and the bloopers at the end.
Today we try out the Eley line of hose sprayers and see if they are the best out there. Do they have all the flow? Do they have great spray patterns? Watch to find out and don't forget the bloopers at the end.

Great video Keav. I have had an EGO 650 for probably a couple years now and it does everything I need it to do. All that you said about noise and fatigue from the weight is spot on. And I also only use the turbo mode for wheels, grilles and very tight places to get all the water out.

Hello there I’ve been watching your videos for a while and you are putting a lot of good Contant I really appreciate that thank you and you were saying how it’s not comfortable to hold these leaf blowers, Ego has a backpack with one battery or two batteries that gives up to 800 CFM if it’s modified I think it would be much better solution what do you think?

Great video! I was ready to purchase Ryobi new 18v blower made specifically for car drying but will give this attachment a try. I think doing a test on a panel that isn’t ceramic coated would have been better as most people don’t have that on their car. Wonder how effective it would be then?

Recently purchased both. Ended up keeping the Ego. The Ryobi blower is just too bulky, IMO. I really wanted to keep the Ryobi because it was a lot quieter. I always use hearing protection when using the blower but, minimizing the high pitch noise is preferred. I also already owned Ryobi batteries so I only needed to purchase the blower only, which was a plus. BUT.. when I heard that the Ego 765 bundle was on sale at Lowes and Amazon AND they also included with the lighter 2.5 Ah battery I went that route. I purchased the Ego brand short nozzle and I really like it.
@CarsWithKeav
@CarsWithKeav 3 ай бұрын
The Ryobi is more bulky for sure. Yeah, that is a great deal with the extra battery. I think EGO is starting to adopt some of the Ryobi sales models with the battery deals. Being in an enclosed garage the sound is a big factor for me. My family never complained late at night when using the Ryobi. The first night using the 765 they let me know they could hear it.

I’ve got the ego blower and it doesn’t sound nearly as harsh as in the video. I think there’s something about the acoustics or the mic. Regarding the battery weight I’ve got the ego mower, blower, trimmer and hedge cutter and use one 10ah battery and one 2.5ah battery. I can finish almost any job with the blower with the 2.5ah battery, certainly drying my car. As you mentioned both batteries can be used in all the tools which makes them very versatile. For the weight I think the 2.5ah battery is the way to go for the handheld tools. I may pick up another one.
@CarsWithKeav
@CarsWithKeav 3 ай бұрын
Yeah the 2.5 I bet is much less weight and size. The sound to me is the way it is in the video, but remember this is an enclosed garage with an echo so a higher pitched sound will sound even higher. I myself just don't like the sound so used to the much quieter Ryobi and my family never complains about it. They have complained about the 765 when I have used it late at night. This would not be as big an issue when deciding to buy one for me if I was using it outside. LOL

Wondering if you can weigh in on using a “blower” port on a vacuum as an air tool for detailing vs the tornador-- I have the ego 9 gallon 56V with lots of power and was considering buying the makita 18V duster/blower hand held - for interiors /blowing out pads/ect. Any thoughts. I’m a big fan of keav. Many thanks. Owen from Atlanta 😊

@CarsWithKeav 26 күн бұрын
I have not hhad any good success using the blower port of a shop vac. I have not tried the EGO one to say for sure, but it only has 110cfm of suction so on the blower side it wouldn't be much more. For the interior carpets the Tornador style devices don't have much competition they are that good. If you have Ryobi batteries their new handheld 18v is crazy good and would do way better than a vac blower could. ATL represent!

I always blow my intake out with a compressed air hose when done leaf blowing. The particles in the air could for sure be an issue if outside when there is construction or somebody using a lawnmower nearby. @CarsWithKeav
@CarsWithKeav 11 күн бұрын
It would just be the particles in the air. The back of these sucks in air as others blower runs. Thing is if the particles are in the air they are going to land on the car anyways. I do see if you are outside and the neighbor is mowing the grass sending dirt clouds at you. Best not to dry then as it could suck in that air and sent it at the paint and could be abrasive.

@@CarsWithKeav awesome. My plan to buy one because in a few weeks I’ll be buying a 2024 black Honda civic sport and I’m getting the car full ppf wrap and full ceramic coat so I’m looking for the best way to dry the car with the least amount of physical drying to avoid any swirls or scratches. I want to do my very best to keep it clean.
@CarsWithKeav
@CarsWithKeav 10 күн бұрын
@@Stay_True_- Nice! With all that the car is going to be very easy to keep clean. Good idea to limit contact as Honda Black paint is very soft and scratches easily. Also, think about spotless water for the final rinse. When using a blower with tap water you can evaporate the minerals into the surface masking the coating and not getting the best glossy look.

I think these are the two best out there. The newer greenworks are supposed to be good and much quieter. Going to review one of those at some point.

My Echo gas-powered blower is still strong.

I’ve always been concerned with gas and the particles form the exhaust getting into beads on the car. How do you handle that or do you have any issues with two stroke smoke, etc. Of course can’t use gas in the garage unless I want to get high. 🤣
@Carlos.Rivera
@Carlos.Rivera 3 ай бұрын
@CarsWithKeav for inside in the garage ofc battery powered blower make sense. But if you are in the out side, you will not have a problem. For contamination, there is not much because the flower's nozzle is long enough to keep a safe distance from the car. For wheels, it's a win in my book since I don't need to bend over with shobby nozzle. In your environment, an air compressor will be more beneficial
@CarsWithKeav
@CarsWithKeav 3 ай бұрын
@@Carlos.Rivera I have tried, but my 20 gallon can’t keep up and the compressor running constant is annoying. Plus you are stuck dealing with a hose. Outside only other reason for me is battery tends to have way less vibration, noise and not much maintenance needed unless you have the EGO then it can be louder than a gas one.

Ya…hah. I love to wash and detail our cars but this…this is a whole new level of lazy. Nothing beats a good leather whammy. Period. Yep. It’s more work but it gets rid of the streaks, dry drops etc. i see this as a colossal waste of $$$. My 2 cents worth.

We all have our ways! No waste of money as it’s my leaf blower for the yard anyways. Not sure about lazy though it still takes time and you’re holding an 8 lb object that whole time so it’s a good workout. I do it as I don’t want to touch the car again this minimizes marring for me.

GO blowers are great. I guess it all depends on what you are use to and which EGO you have. If you use many other blowers like the Ryobi then having that comparison shows the real difference. At least to me it sounds just as loud in person.
