I’ve been working to strengthen my quads and it’s helped the pain in my right knee. My knee doesn’t seem to grind as much or feel like it’s going to pop.

i love watching random videos where they show you an absolute golden exercise in a way you never thought of. The foam roller banded leg extension is getting tried. Sissy squat is so good, legs always burn after them but like can only get 6 reps assisted

I was looking for an in depth video just like this showing alternatives I can do to progress into the full sissy squat. Salute, this is the best video Ive found w/ variations nobody else seem to know about. I particularly like starting with elevated heel squat & then the nordic exercise before finally using the wall to test out hip placement etc. I knew there had to be a safer way to warm up into this cuz every time I tried I felt super crazy like I was about to collapse & get hurt lol.

As one who's pretty far along in my ACL recovery and no gym access at this time, these exercises are *precisely* what I've been looking for to isolate my quads. Also thrilled that you can still say "sissy" on the internet...

You need to have decently strong quads and mobility for this..I wouldn't say to start with this. It's for people who are already decent. I wouldn't advice to start there. Same with pistol squats. Even beginner position needs some experience.
