When it comes to popular dishes like nasi lemak, roti canai or nasi kandar, locals usually have their own preference. So, it's hard to really get one answer on which is the best nasi lemak in town. The best is to try out as many as you can and decide which one gets on well with your taste bud.

7:06 you could always ask for an extra glass of hot/warm (suam) water which I usually do and if the teh tarik is too sweet, I just add on hot water. Some places do make their teh tarik a bit sweeter. You could also ask the waiter when ordering to have teh tarik kurang manis (less sweet).

we have many variety sour, sweet, spicy more then thai......i love thai foods but in term of verity you can't compare with thai or other place. If you still in Ipoh explore Mee kicap mat jasak, nasi ganja, Doli chow kueh teow, mee combat, yong tau foo, mee udang kuala sepetang,etc.....every district have special menu. This is mostly malay dan halal fusion.....for Chinese or Indian you need to asked other Malaysian friends. You only stretch the surface only. Malaysia also beautiful in Nature and beaches......do explore!

There's a lighter version and heavy version of nasi lemak available not just for breakfast but for lunch, dinner and supper as well. The lighter nasi lemak is usually pre-wrapped (bungkus) in banana leaf and paper. You could always inquire if the place sells nasi lemak bungkus.

Hey, Chai, your words of Bahasa Malaysia sounded pretty good! Very legit, not that I'd know good from bad but it convinced me! I was waiting for this to turn into a normal Chai theme: "What's your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?" 555. Hey, a serious question. I hate power lines everywhere; it's one of my pet peeves about Chiang Mai. I didn't see any power lines on the streets in your shots. Did you just choose scenic streets for your shots that did not have them, or do they have underground power lines in most of the city? I bet I'm your only sub to ask such an odd question. Take care!
@Chai_Travel
